Alternatives to Scrapbook Paper 🖤 Junk Journal Ideas with Atlas Pages
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I play with some Atlas pages from a book that cost me 50 pence and demonstrate how you don't need to splurge on craft paper to junk journal like a boss.

Thank you! It's a real passion of mine. Tomorrow's tutorial is super scrappy... In a good way. 😂❤️
This is an approach to starting a journal I hadn't thought of. I usually either go with eclectic, whatever I have at hand or I choose a theme and collect stuff for that. love both those but this will add another dimension to my journals. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much Rondi, that's absolutely lovely to hear. I hope you continue to enjoy the videos. It's my pleasure to make them. ❤️
Wow, you really expanded my thinking on an atlas page! I have a used big atlas I bought from a library sale but could only think of making envelopes from it. You have given me SO many lovely ideas. Thank you so very much for this wonderful tutorial. I love all your pieces.

Oh that's brilliant. I'm so glad this video has provided some fresh inspiration.
This is so wonderful. I have a small Atlas. It has large pages but not very many but I never thought of using it in all this way. I love the idea that you stamped on a map and then cut it out for ephemera. How come I never thought to do that. A friend suggested your KZread and I'm so glad she did

Hi Judie, I'm so glad your friend recommended me so we can connect. I often think the same when I watch videos 'why didn't I think of that' 😂 that's the beauty of KZread. We get to see how other people's minds work!
Great ephemera you made. You make it look so simple. Thank you for sharing! 😊

It's a pleasure Carrie! I hope you have lots of Atlas fun. ❤️
In the US there are online sites for visitor information. They will send free maps, brochures, and beautiful magazines for free.

Yes! There are some in the UK too. I mention them in my video about free junk journaling materials. They are a goldmine!
Wow, you really mave made a lot of gorgous pieces of ephemera, themed even. I am going to do this. I bought an atlas a couple of weeks ago, not as big as your book, but for $1AUD, while thrifting, with the same thought of paper instead of scrapbook paper. Keeping costs down. You have inspired me to make more than I expected to use it for. Thanks for that. I must get back to Natasha's older videos. She does have very easy to follow tutorials. I have really enjoyed today's video.

That's so great that you have an atlas and that this video has come at the right time. I do think it's better than buying scrapbook paper but of course scrapbook paper can be very tempting at times. 🙈🙈🙈
One of my favourite videos! Ive watched a few times and it always sparks my imagination 👍🙂

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video, and that you've found junk journaling. It's wonderfully addictive!
I love this! I have some old atlases too and love their pages for crafting. The paper is thick and matte so it holds up well. I love all the colours, numbers and memories of school geography and science. A bonus to my mind is that atlas pages are are already perfectly themed for travel journals.

I think I found it at a shop over here called Hobby Craft. It's our equivalent of the US hobby lobby but I'd bet you can find it cheaper on eBay. Just search for a large acrylic stamping block. ❤️
😀
You almost seem to feel you need to apologize for buying that awesome book! No way. Buying used books is great. What is terrible is that sometimes book stores or the library just have to throw books away. now that is 'way worse than what we do!!

Lol. You are right of course. We do need to think of it as a rescue mission rather than a destructive operation. ❤️
