i am 49 i have had a summit stem and a pinnacle cup with an all ceramic on ceramic bearing i had this done a year ago so i know it is still in the early statge , but i think the result is excellent i am so happy with it .its a duo fix un cemented both components . done by dr peter devane wellington public hospital new zealand . hay doc thank god for socialized medicine .1 year x ray it looks completly osteointergrated 100% . lets hope its good for 30 or 40 years my advice to patients is look after your new hip remember its not as good as a human hip its not self repairing it will last decades just look after it . i avoid squash , tennis these sports were you run short distance and the slam your foot down in the hard concreat or asfelt , lawn tennis should be ok as the court surface absorbs alot of the shock . otherwise enjoy your new pain free no arthritis hip .thanks dr i beleave god him self lets this science to come about so man can get relief from disease and great pain .
