The best part about the ending is that the principal proves that he knows 2+2=4, meaning that he's not as stupid as the parents, but is simply caving in to the parents' demands. It's a cautionary tale of how education ought to run and what happens when we give power to anti-empiricism.

That shows us the reality of US woke culture. Oh and also Christianity itself. 1+1+1=3. Trinity is BS. God should be one. That trinity thing is destroying your logic. And also God no need to have kid and cant reproduce. GOD JUST CREATE STUFF. NOT BREED. The hell is that "jesus is son of god" 🤣😂 GOD IS 1 AND WITH MANY HELPERS THAT WE CALL THEM 'ANGELS". Imagine a genius man that have many robots and programs to run his house. It's something like that. But God can create anything. Even space and time. For atheists, they cant explain the space-time creation btw. It's either you believe in 1 God or you become atheist. There is no inbetween. You all that against me, are the characters that depicted in the movie that against that teacher. "free thinker" my arse. It's your logic that broken! To be free thinker, one must have some basic logic, manners, moral, and stuff. That's the base. If they dont have, then they're just delusional dumb people. Edit: glad that this movie exists 😅. To show the world that so many people are actually like those people that against the teacher. Bunch of dumb people. WITHOUT saying it literally.

Not really, the math changes when larger numbers are added. Example smaller numbers (like 2+2) are just put next to each other, the larger numbers (anything over 9) are not used the same way. In the new math they can have any, and all (or none) possibilities. hahaha - sure... LoL

Idiocracy could be happening now. The film's example is unrealistic of course, BUT we can have a realistic example for the same plot I believe I think a more realistic version of this is whether or not squares should be considered as rectangles. It's confusing for kids but if that's what we're gonna teach them in highschool, then that's what we should teach them now. Hence, in a diagram/an image/whatever containing 1 square and 3 non-square rectangles (that don't overlap and that aren't merged or anything) the student should say there are 4 rectangles in the diagram instead of just 3. And should squares count as rectangles? Yes. There are some laws that mandate that the shape of certain things be rectangular. Surely we don't expect these laws to have anything against such things that look squarish right? (It's not like the laws would have anything against rectangles with length so close to its width...) Try looking this up in maths educators stackexchange.

This would've gone just fine if for every answer the kids gave at the beginning, the same concept was used for their school fees. For example, if the tuition fees were 200 and the additional fees 200, just ask the boy's parents for 200200 dollars coz that's how their son wants to calculate. Or if a pen costs 2 dollars and he buys two, get 22 dollars from him. Simple as that. And I'm glad that the ending was just like that.

This reminds me of when I call my student's parents to inform them that their child was in a fight, and their first response isn't, "What, that's awful. Is everyone ok?!?!" It's, "So, did they win, or not?!?!" Edit: Based on the replies, it would seem I wasn't very clear about the situation, so..... 1. This has occurred with SEVERAL parents, not just one kid, one fight. 2. Most of these calls are about repeat offenders, so the parents are already well aware of their child's behavior. They just don't care enough to reprimand them, and work with me to put an end to it. 3. These are NOT bullied students. In fact, the majority are the bullies. Which, based on the parent's reaction, isn't all that surprising. 4. I realize this isn't exactly the same as what happens in this movie, my comparison is about how some parents refuse to acknowledge that their children have done anything wrong. Instead, doubling down on it, blaming everyone but themselves. *I don't necessarily think the parents are out of line for inquiring as to the outcome, as long as it comes from a place of love, and concern, as opposed to, "Hahaha, my kid is a bad ass, yours is a loser".

  • @nicbentulan

True story of arguing with stupid: The film's example is unrealistic of course, BUT we can have a realistic example for the same plot I believe I think a more realistic version of this is whether or not squares should be considered as rectangles. The poster on stackexchange actually had to 'argue with stupid'

@@classical4872 it has already happened in real life. In maths specifically. Of course it can happen in courses like science and medicine, esp psychiatry, psychology, economics and of course theology, religion, philosophy etc But it has happened in maths The film's example is unrealistic of course, BUT we can have a realistic example for the same plot I believe I think a more realistic version of this is whether or not squares should be considered as rectangles.
