    Honestly from my viewpoint what could have made this better is Russia losing the Russo Turkish war in 1878, this although ousting russian power in the Balkans means that in the Russo Japanese war Russia achieves victory, I think this would have been a better trade off and allowing the Tzars to stay in full power until the death of Nicholas II

    I think the only problem with this particular Alt-history scenario is the population at the end of this timeline, this is due to the fact that because the Communist USSR never came to be, and Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin never came to power and destroyed the Kulaks, caused the Ukrainian famine, created the Gulag Archipelago, and did not cause the deaths of nearly 60+ million people. The population rate of the Russian Empire at the current rise, most women gave birth to 4.5 to 7 children each before World War 1, Russia would have had a population between 450 to 500 million people, which is absolutely massive compared to its current population. Due to this population size, the colonial territories and protectorates that the Russia contained within itself would be completely Russified in the Baltics, Caucuses, and Central Asia, as well as in the temperate and bearable regions of Southern Siberia would be littered with cities, as big or bigger than Novosibirsk, which could probably contend with the European portions of Russia in terms of development. But other than that this was a great video and I hope you make more like it.

  • @vincentbj84

    @vincentbj84

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes you may be right, but 500 million seems to me a bit excessive, for the Baltic countries, a small part is Russian but the regions have kept an autonomy and have not been assimilated, on the other hand Belarusians, Ukrainians or others are considered like Russian or just Russian dialects in this reality, and some regions have been partially "Russified", such as Moldova.

  • @Mindfr3k24

    @Mindfr3k24

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@vincentbj84 The reason I say 450 to 500 million is because, when the communists came into to power they not only killed millions of their people by forcedly making Russia industrialize, instead of letting it naturally occur, as it was before World War 1, and creating man-made famines. They also created a system that was most times harmful and terrible to raise a family, there is quite a lot of accounts from women in Soviet Russia who stated that hospitals, when one could receive attention, were so uncomfortable and terrible, most women would rather not get pregnant or not have children at all. You can actually see the birthrate of Russia drop tremendously after the Soviets took over, I believe some statistics show Russia having a birthrate 7.18 per woman before WW1 and after WW2, where most victorious nations had significant baby booms such as the USA, where the birth rate dropped to 2.58 per woman after WW2 had ended, which is quite significant. When a pre-industrialized nation usually develops the birth rates drop naturally as women are emancipated, gain their franchise, and join the work force, but in the case of Russia, when the communists took over they destroyed everything about both their culture and what they considered unneeded industries in order to develop its military. That is why Russia's population growth is so stagnant and one of the lowest in the world, along with every other post-communist state. There's a great video by one Whatifalthist where he talks about how Russia would have likely developed, if the Soviet Union never existed, I highly recommend it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6VnudaIpbWpfdo.html

    Oui je voulais moins affaiblir la Russie avec une révolution d'octobre, je voulais faire tenir les russes tout du long de la 1er GM et empêcher les bolcheviks de passer au pouvoir, en 1905, je pense qu'il aurait pu avoir plus de chance que les mencheviks ou autres socialistes prennent le pouvoir, la Russie aurait pu se développer plus rapidement je pense. Et la guerre contre les Japonais était déjà mal reçu dans la réalité, le tsar a voulu mettre vite fin à cette guerre vue les troubles du pays, dans cette histoire alternative la guerre dure un ans de plus, donc ça a amplifié la rev.
