I love the Altergeist archetype and use it both in Duel Links and Master Duel. Never once knew or thought about the lock mechanic you mentioned. I have to try that out now. Amazing video, btw!

It's just as you put it Undead. For a stall deck, it actually does need a good chunk of thought process to play this deck. I'm glad to hear the Magikey guide is on the way, and I'm looking forward to it too. I managed to pull an early kog this month with them and I really think it's underrated.

Thanks for the guide! I'm a new player ,and mostly a rush player, but Deep Emotion was such a nice box (already gone through it once) and something in my head clicked during the Ghost Girl event so Altergeist been on my radar ever since. This video made me consider getting Borrelload and Marionetter with the dream tickets next month, or maybe there are other choices better suited for a new player that tries Speed sometimes/mostly for gem farming and events?

those are solid choices though borreload is easy to get cuz its in a mini box so it might be better to spend UR tickets on UR traps -undead

Some of the interactions ive found in duelinks are craaazy. Like when you use manifestation, and immediately bounce it to hand with silq, whatever you summon with manifestation stays and doesnt get destroyed. And u get your manifrst back for free. And another one is when someones attacking. You can do some weird combo where when the opponent attacks, activate kunq fron hand, and immediately bounce it with silq when it hits the field and im pretty sure itll let you summon kunq again 💀🤣 nooot sure if thats a bug. Or if im remembering wrong. The opponent may have juat attacked with a different monster and i uaed kunq again i just may be wrong but either way it helped me learn you can easily use kunq multiple times. I usually dont play it as a stall deck. More of a control, force deck. And more often then not im linking like turn two 💀 Also the problem with paleo dino isnt ao much the discard cost. I typically have a stacked hand playing altergiest. Buuuut, the real problem ive had with dino is the face up requirement to activate it. Had to banish my own monsters once or twice just to activate . With as much advantage as you generate though. If youre banishing 1/3 silq. Not the worst 🤷🏼‍♂️ But dino is actually a decent tech for the deck considering its the only way you can banish anything if you need to play around sendng something to the grave.

I hate Altergeist but since you guys made a video I will support the video as usual 💪🏾

Im only 30 mins in. He might mention this(spoiler, he does) but spoofing is actually and amaaaazing card for this deck especially now that its only limited to 2 instead of 1. You can activate it and pull out multifaker, and use multifaker off the activation of spoofing! Pretty solid play imo

You should do an updated version of this video once the new cards and the skill come out ! There is also no more limitation on meluseek so we can now play different traps

Can you do a monarch guide next? People have an insane number of builds and different routes to go through (like the Thestalos route to rip cards out of hand, other monarchs to spin, to banish) that it’s kind of confusing how to play optimally. And there’s zero guides out there on any platform

Wow what a video! Well done! This looked like so much work, really appreciated! One question: I had 2 situations, where fakers effect to summon from the deck didn’t trigger. Does it lose its timing if the chainlink is too high (think it was chainlink 4). Keep up the great work! -Hanz

This is most likely because you already summoned another monster that turn that wasn't an altergeist, for example you might have used linkuribohs effect to tribute meluseek to summon it, multifakers effect to summon from the deck says you cant summon anything that turn except altergeists, and that includes before it activates -undead

Another thing faker can't lose its chain link matter fact faker would still triggers even if he wasn't in your hand when the activation was done but he does need to get to your hand within that chain

Personally i would say that dinomischus fits better then u said it does as aslong as 1 of our other 3 set cards is still a our altergiest reborn u can just discard faker and get its effect when we reborn it Its debatable tho if a banish is better then just flipping smt but personally i would say that it is bc it also deals w continious spells traps and fieldspells which vs a lot of decks can just end their plays + vs fusion and link decks it effectivly does nothing as it will force u to interupt them before they can link which usually isnt gonna be that impactfull And fusion decks can still fusion summon w their facedowns And still vs every other deck it just delays the issue instead of just straightup removing it which will require 1 more interuption or removal eff later on Also u can just play around the discard eff by triggering a deff trap earlier having faker summon itself and silq and then once u bounces faked back to hand u can discard her for dino eff to vs most deck permanently remove a problem card which mightve loated if it wouldve been send to the grave Tl;dr mischus >>> canadia

I would like to add that the drawsense for lvl 4 or lower monsters is also an option as drawing our lvl 4 to search our trap can be wayyy better in a lot of situations Just anything then then our lvl 5 when u need any other monster to get your engine back online

draw sense level 4 or lower doesnt guaruntee we will get a level 4 it just makes things random -undead

the new main deck monster has a little amount of potential for early game consistency as maybe a 1 of but the longer the game goes the worse it gets so its probably not worth playing, and the links kinda redundant but i think its worth getting 1 just in case somebody figures something spicy out about it -undead

Now that spoofing is at 2 the standard should be to play it at 2 right? But more importantly, is a "head judging" at 1 alright too sneak in for extra tilt potential or is that card too sacrilegious? As a former Lava Golem/Shadowgame/spam yami marik taunts/Send nice enjoyer I will certainly play it at one anyway, even thou a bit all or nothing and certainly not optimal. However as stall players I feel even before trying to win, its our duty to make our opponent tilt more than anything!

Yeah definitely good to play too. Head judging is a tilter but its unreliable and we dont really wanna steal monsters cuz we want our zones to be available for our own monsters -undead

If you go to your tickets box and look for GR prismatic ones it will definitely have it that's how I got my 2nd prismatic hopefully the login bonus also has it so I can have the triple prismatic hexstia flex

When you play against players that don't play around it then it works, but thats anecdotally looking at the best case scenario, the worst case scenario is they do something that you need to stop in the main phase but cant because drowning wont trigger your multifaker, and the other worst case is they just are a good player that knows how to play around it. Play traps that are always good, not sometimes good. -Undead

Drowning Mirror Force is gangster until Salamangreat Fowl sends a Salad to GY, Lunalight Kaleido Chick activates banish effect, or BLS Legendary enters battle phase to turn it off for the turn after they don’t see any delays during their combo lol. Alternatively a deck like Live Twin will simply not attack anyway until all the backrow has been cleared over several turns with Lil-la

More traps ? their traps themselves and accomplish 10x better value against good players than drowning mirror force. Cards outdated only works in ranked against hero alike players

I hate dis deck with a burning passion. Hate. It. I can't play shit. Everytime I tryna do smtg it gets disrupted with the trap + Silquitous combo. N some players purposely stall before reacting just to make their oppo wait everytime they tryna do a combo n it pisses me off
