Helene here. Being 75, I don’t listen to allot of metal….death or thrash……But THIS…song. Holy crap…this gave me chill after chill. The power of that bass….,,that ”wall of sound”….great vocals…..great lyrics…..LOVED IT. That riff in the chorus done by both guitar and bass, SO deep and so hypnotic. I LOVE a you guys!!! 💓

Because of my most beloved Alter Bridge I made my way in 2018/19 to your reaction channel, as you started with Blackbird live in Amsterdam. Missed you the long time of your abstinence. Alter Bridge have just landed in Europe for a massive arena tour with Halestorm and Mammoth WVH. I’m hitting up 3 gigs on this tour. If you haven’t checked out Mammoth WVH yet you definitely should, it’s Wolfgang Van Halens band. I think the song Distance will really resonate with you, wolf wrote it for Eddie before he passed.

Welcome back and very glad Kel is recovered and feeling good . Nightwish Played the Hellfest Festival in France this summer and they did some songs from there last album Human / Nature , 1"Noise" the show opener, 2. "Tribal" . 3 "Shoemaker" these are three you have not seen . Nightwish Army waiting .

Myles is my favorite vocalist and has been since I first heard the first Alter Bridge album back in ‘04 (I can’t believe it’s been almost 19 years since that album came out) I have an even DEEPER AND STRONGER APPRECIATION for him knowing that he is an Atheist, as along with being a fully disabled combat veteran in my late 30’s (close to 40) I too am an Atheist!!! It made his lyrics all that much more meaningful to me especially the ones on ABIII which delve into those topics much more than other works of theirs.

Kel, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. I've missed you guys reacting to Alter Bridge. Would love to hear you do a reaction to more songs from this album. Could I suggest This is War, Fable of the Silent Son, Dead Among the Living, The Last Man Standing, Pawns and Kings, Season of Promise.....just to get you started

Ok…second listen even more powerful than first. Totally hypnotic. From the lyrics, I’m getting echoes of War Pigs by Sabbath, Cult of Personality by In Living Color, Won’t Get Fooled Again by The Who, Masters of War by Bob Dylan. Since this came out this month, I’m wondering if Putin and the war in Ukraine might have been the catalyst for this song….Putin and his ilk, who cloak themselves in in the roles of “savior” ….and demand allegiance….and it’s all lies. This song really captures the zeitgeist of the world right now. BRAVO.

I saw an interview where Mark and/or Myles stated that most of the songs were written prior to Putin's invasion of Ukraine and didn't have an impact on the song.

Great song, great reaction. I highly recommend the opening track from this album, "This is War". Personally it's my favorite off the the new album, but the whole album is great! As for the lyrics for this song, one thing I love about AB it is their songs can be interpreted in a way that relates to your life, whether it be an internal battle, political or workplace. AB is generally non-political, so I doubt it has any real political meaning, at least directly. Its all in the interpretation.

Just a little taste of what you have in store for yourselves with the rest of the album. After hearing the other 3 songs released I had to pre-order the album. What an awesome album they have put out for all of us. Feel free to react to any other song off of the album cause you won't find a bad track.

Myles likes to touch on some religion from a philosophical perspective. He doesnt practice and I believe he is agnostic. So whenever he writes about religion its either talking about it as a concept or an institution, rather than his relationship with God or organized religion.
