Hilsen fra Kasakhstan. Vi forstår din smalahove. Denne delikatessen.
@kingofmonra and where does the icelandic people come from ? norway ! and this recipie is probaly so old that it existed in norway when people started to move to iceland.
I've eating it, I'm Norwegian and honestly, it doesn't taste too bad. Stop whining about what you THINK until you've tried it!
Im from Norway and i have never tasted it, but i really want to
I tried it once on holiday, and i was skeptical, but it actually tasted really REALLY delicious :)
smalahove er fette godt!
I'm also norwegian, and I hope I get the opportunity to try it once. I love exciting food!
Gotta love it. First time I had it I had a similar reaction. Try it, it is good.
A few families eat it at special occasions, but it has become a rare cuisine because of its appearance. :(
Congratulations, you've just competed in Norwegian Fear Factor;-P
We Mongolians loves sheep head, it's actually considered delicacy food. And not the eyes but Tongue is precious
Huuungryyy =) I love smalahove =)
it is soooo god taste like "pinneKjøtt" IT is a delicasy
I wouldnt eat Smalahove in a million years, but quite a few of the older generation still does. Still have nightmares from when I was a young boy, opening the fridge and being greeted by a sheep head and the tounge of an elk..
Eating the eye last?! That lady's crazy! You gotta eat the eye first!
Har aldri smakt sauehodet jeg :D
Jeg ville aldri prøve dette smalahove. Jeg ville kaste opp det samme. :P
yeah we do this every week, eat smalahove and sing the national anthem. standar norwegian.
@Irmanids Then how do you know it's not a delicasy?
@RsnQuQ and up north, of course.
I guess these people have never had soul food
What is this show & its premise?
@Irmanids You probaly live in east norway. this is very common in west norway.
@kingofmonra By that logic, All Americans (except the natives) are european.
@2007words I thought it was Icelandic?
hahaha the facial expressions
@hre010 I', Norwegian too, but i I'm neve going to try it. I just thought it was Icelandic
@Reanicus Oh, and by the way, the blonde woman who is leading the whole show gave them totally the wrong advice. You eat the parts with the most fat (like the eye) FIRST! Because it is delicious when the fat is still warm and more edible. If you save that for the last then it's just going to be harder to eat.
What is wrong with eating this?I don’t understand it.I love the taste of it!
Spiste smalahove for ikke så lenge siden for første gang. Startet med øyet, så spiste jeg tungen. Så prøvde jeg meg på resten, men det ble for salt og hadde en alt for sterk røktsmak.
@MacGyver920 Which is why they dont get to vote, except when they turn 18. Which i still think is too early, a mental ability test should be a prerequisite for voting.
This is sooo from Voss. Haha, smalahove and vossakorv.
It’s funny that it’s ok to eat an animal as long as the fact that it is an actual animal is hidden away. Eating the face makes you realize that you are actually eating a dead animal that was killed by someone for you. A random slab of thigh muscle just doesn’t quite have the same effect.
acctually... smalahove is swedish?
Jag är från Sverige och älskar Allt för Sverige, så fick jag höra att det finns Allt för Norge så jag vill se på det nu, men vart hittar jag hela säsongerna?

Hejsann. Norge startet 'alt for norge'. Det finnes noen sessonger her ute på youtube. :)
@azzazzazzaaaa
i love pinnekjøtt, but i've never tried the others. the only things i had the courage to try were lutefisk and rakfisk. those were nasty. i suppose if i liked cod they'd have tasted a bit better but they also had a horrible texture.

Try 'gravlaks'. Its not that rotten as rakfisk. It's quite good and I recommend it with mustardsauce. preferebly bit sweet.
I'd rather have a Freia Melkesjokolade bar
I hail from the area where this delicacy (as we call it now) is "from", Voss. And I can tell you this there isn't really anything special about it. It's just a sensible decision to eat everything off the livestock you have. Some places have a tradition for eating cod's head, we eat the tounges of oxes and other parts of the animal which might be seen as "weird" by modern pansies. To me, smalahove is delicious and to be honest, if you like pinnakjøt, you like smalahove.
We could argue back and forth about this subject for ages; Norwegians do not eat sheeps head on an everydays basis, some never eat it at all because having half a head on your plate freaks some out.. I myself have never tried Fårikål, even though it's the national dish. BOTH ARE DELICACIES THAT ARE EATEN IN NORWAY! Can we leave it at that, veeer så snill?
Well, attleast they didnt get fish treated with industrial corrosives(lye)
Just like all norwegians eat fårikål? More people eat smalahove.. It IS a traditional norwegian delicasy, even though you and your friends don't eat it. I don't eat the eye though.
de fleste på vest landet har da spist smalahove.
Even I'm a follower of Asatru, the old way of our gods, as a borned Mexican if someone offer me a dish of Smalahove I will question for some tortillas to make some tacos of Sheep's head :v (also a traditional dish in Mexico in the form of tacos)

I feel so sorry for these poor Americans who now think this is a normal Norwegian dish XD
Good tender meat...and the tongue....wow!!!!! I love lamb tongue sandwiches.
@eurovisionmgp Nope, it's norwegian :) Not that I've ever tried it or ever will....
It's wrong to call this a traditional Norwegian delicasy. Very few Norwegians eat this. I'm from Noeway, and I've never tasted this, and I never will.
@Reanicus Pinnekjøtt is the best!!!
de mangler bass på nasjonalsangen vår.. Gratulerer med dagen, alle sammen! :D
Poor sods ! They should look further back in their family trees. Maybe they will find a swede somewhere so they can have meatballs with creamsauce and lingonberry jam instead :)
Kom igjen folkens, alle vet jo at alle som kommenterer er norske. Hvorfor ikke bare kommentere på norsk? -.-
@Irmanids actually a lot of norwegians eat it... i bet ur from east norway. the best meat on the entire sheep is on the head :)
@cecilieukulele Jeg håper du reiser deg ihvertfall.
It was fine until she said to eat the eye... D:
@fordf1501977
This is just the beginning... Really. Much more horrible food in Norway!
Қазақты шақыру керек еді 5 минутте жеп бітірген екен болады
I'm Norwegian, and I just want you Americans to know that this is something, I'm very sure few Norwegians eat! I mean, seriously, I've never tried this shit and I never will! God damn, it looks so grose! Even we Norwegians would react the same way as you, just please don't take us for beeing some sort of maniacs, cause we don't eat fucking heads! lol
@thisisnotanick wtf *=P
Wooooww.. The patriotism is just too much in this program... It's a funny show and a great idea, but honestly... The nationalsong at dinner... come on!! Bvadr...
@magicrat74 Lol, Pizza Grandiosa is not a delicacy. It's a piece of cardboard with crap on it. :D
That's why there's no such thing as a Norwegian restaurant.

There are loads of Norwegian restaurants....

No, Norwegian restaurants are not a thing outside of Norway. You live in a dreamworld.
@kingofmonra

You did not say outside of Norway. Also that is not true. There are Norwegian restaurants outside of Norway. You are not a well traveled person.
@EricFalch

I've lived in more continents you can think of. So hold kjeft.
@kingofmonra
6 жыл бұрын
And yet you don't know what you're talking about. Also I can think of 7 continents. You're saying you lived in all of them? Even Antartica? I don't think you're telling the truth. Why don't you sit down and let the adults do the talking. If your parents let you travel to the US, you can find Norwegian restaurants in New York. But you'll probably have to wait 14-15 years before your parents let you travel that far.
This is not shit. It seems delicious to me.
@wastedmoney15 EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!
It's not even Norwegian, it's icelandic.
@Rabiesist Most Norwegians don't eat this! And they don't live in stupid old cabins, wearing wooden shoes and playing old ass music. Norway is modern, but still we make fun of ourselves with our so called delicasies and stupid nature, when no average Norwegian gives a fuck about the nature at all.
This is not a Norwegian delicacy. Maybe for western Norway, but not for the rest of the country. Stop pushing the belief that we LOVE this kind of shit.
