Yet both Norwegian and English belongs to the same language family: Germanic. Ironically Old English was very close and similar to Old Norse, what the Vikings spoke.

And the kid’s accents are very bad😝🫣🥴 Most Norwegians speaks English fluently, and even though our 2nd language, most has a horrible accent. And some are stuck with thinking English is either Posh British or generic American…

Their accents were fine. As long as it's understandable that is all that matters. The way the mouth is formed and how your tongue moves affect your accent no matter how early you start at a new language. Norwegian and english speakers seem to clash in that regard meaning it's very rare for Norwegians to not have a Norwegian accent when they speak English. And I don't think I have ever heard anyone that did not grow up speaking Norwegian get the accent completely right.
