never gonna happen, that old video was viral outside of the touhou and otaku community, fucking CNN featured it because it was so huge. luckily the japanese are beginning to realize that people like their shit outside of japan and are starting to market themselves here. one can only imagine how youtube would look right now if they actually realized it when songs like this got huge back then.

I tried contacting あにら but no response I later found out that a friend of あにら is the one people contact for permission to use the animation I was also told that Minoshima got the original uncompressed video then upscaled it for youtube

なんかマジで泣けてくる。すごい没入感だ。もう100回以上は観てきたんだろうと思う。うごくメモ帳で観て、ニコニコで観て、今KZreadで観ている。Alstroemeria recordsさんのEDM作品がまず神だし、キャラのチョイスやアニメーションなど、観た人誰もが魅了されるものがあると感じる。しかも原曲が東方旧作というハイセンス具合、旧作の知名度に大きく貢献しすぎている。

東方を知って2年とまだ浅いが・・・　やっぱりこれに勝るもしくは同程度の物は中々無いと思うほどの神mad

10年以上前の歌なのに未だに伸びてるってすごいよね

Nostalgia hitting hard right now. I remember when me and my sisters would listen to Bad Apple for hours at night (me, constantly getting excited over Sakuya since she's my favorite).

it's strange that the original song is called bad apple!!, at least alstroemeria records version has a little relation

It is funny to me that this song was available commercially via DDR and PIU among actual concerts yet it is just recently has been officially uploaded to YT slightly over a decade later. Better late than never though!

You are so lucky to discover this beautiful movie and animation. I wish I could watch this earlier… I have one thing to want to say for you. "TOUHOU" is a part of my life. "TOUHOU" is worth checking.

Discovered Bad Apple as a low quality swf on /f/ around 2009. I thought it was incredible, and when I realized it was Touhou stuff, it was twice as good. Instantly addicted. And it's still incredible. Glad it got uploaded in all its glory.

IGNORE EVERYTHING BELOW THIS WAS WHEN I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT TOUHOU. Based on all the lyrics for the english version, about wanting to not feel anything, I made a theory. Everyone's dropping everything cause it's showing their mental state. Remilia dropped a tea pot and it shattered, showing she regrets things and will never forgive herself for it, shattering her mental state. Alice dropped her doll because it shows she just had the feeling to stop going on, and throw away everything you love. Reimu dropped an apple because Reimu was feeling down, showing her mental state, however it bounced back up but back down. Which shows that she got happy for a moment, only for it to be fake and for her to go back to her depressive state. at 2:18 Suwako and Yusaka both fade because it shows how they want to be. They want to stop existing, or it means their friendship was shattered. At 2:59, Kawashiro falling into water could show a potential suicide attempt, or her tripping over her guilt and it all washes up onto her, like water. At 3:15, the water dropping off Elly's scythe could represent a tear.
