Hey, great video. Assume only any good for LH drive Jeeps because of the cut on the dash panel?

How does the x409-wra-jk compare to the the x209-wra-or?

On my brand new i209, the Nav button sticks and doesn't activate nav. is it possible something wasn't installed correctly and has that button in a bind?

I have the i209 and firmware is somewhere around 3.0, I've been experiencing an issue where the headunit randomly shuts off and doesn't come back on for 10-30 minutes. Very inconvenient and upsetting when this unit costs near $3,000 dollars! When it shuts off power is also lost to my USB in the glove box as well as my aftermarket amp.

Would something like this affect my OEM remote start functions? Thanks

How does the bezel mount ? I have kind of reverse your video. Bought a jeep with your unit and now have to wire in a subwoofer, so I need to get the bezel off and I'm not sure if it just pops off with a trim tool after removing the vents or do I have to remove some screws ? Thanks

Had this for a few months now and it’s cool... just got 4 accessories hooks to the aux button page, light bar, light pods, rock light and the buttons don’t work about 30-40% of the time. They’ll highlight yellow like something supposed to be on but it won’t be, then they’ll work the following time, back and forth so then they say off but will be on. Then you go to turn off/on and it won’t change?? Is this a common problem? Love the deck but super disappointed in this for $3000 +

do the lights have inline fuses? i had this issue w/ my sPOD and it turned out that was the cause. i simply removed the fuses and spliced the wires back together and everything worked correctly.

Do any of these radios come with the data link maestro? More specifically the i209 wra.

the X409 wra jk comes with the data link maestro. not sure about the i209

What you need to know for the navigation voice and some bluetooth features to work is the speaker plugins need to be reversed from the maestro unit to the head unit from black to black and white to white to black to white and the same for the other connection i just bought the radio and its even in the manual because the navigation voice will not work until you do and i didnt see this in any install videos just trying to help and relieve the pain and time later.

@@neilmarshall4927 Hi neil just happened to look and saw your question if you have the installation manual you will see on page 13 of 21 it specifically states what im talking about im not a genius with this stuff either i was having the radio installed at a shop that does installs and after I left I decided to use the navigation and noticed that when the voice for navigation was supposed to cut in the voice was not working to blurbed i had been at the install all day and just went on home and started looking through the manual and found that it specifically says that failure to connect the speakers in reverse order at the head unit will result in no audio from navigation and blue tooth source and issues as a warning so I called the shop and told them the next morning and took it back and they fixed it I know there are a lot of wires its just not really plug and play for a lot of us including me so I would take it to car toys or a shop like that and inform them what’s going on tell them what you now know and that should get you going,hope this helps and good luck.

Frank Wright, I swapped the plugs today and I now have Bluetooth! Thank you so much. It could be a placebo, but the speakers seem clearer, too

Okay At around 5:25 he runs the GPS line but it looks like he attaches it on the back cab roof?? Or Am I just seeing things. MMM

Nice install video. For such an expensive head unit, why do you need to add additional GPS antenna and external microphone when these are already present on the vehicle? The background music volume needs to be dropped to a whisper as it is so annoying.

Glad I ran a search before commenting. This is exactly what I was going to say. I got to step one and dug through the bag looking for the BT microphone. Does this thing really not use the OEM microphone? Why do I now need to buy a mic for this? Excitement: deflated. Now off to buy a mic from some place.

my alpine X409-wra-jk equipment has problems, it turns off and on only continuously at intervals of 1 minute or less check the wiring but everything is well connected, any advice

alpine said my maestro was probably bad. I ended up needing to replace the entire head unit.

Have this in our 2012 jk and the system shuts off sporadically and doesn’t come back on for days. Any idea why screen goes black and system shuts off? Overheating from hot air from vents, maestro needs firmware updated? Any help is much appreciated.

I have the i209 and have been experiencing the same issue, thankfully not days but maybe 10-30 minutes until it comes back on and acts completely normal. I have flashed the maestro module through the settings but still seems to give a problem. I am not the original installer either

No power to headunit, usb in glove box or my aftermarket amp when it shuts off too so I'm thinking it's either a wiring issue with the headunit itself or a software/firmware issue but I don't see any support or updates for the maestro module...wish alpine would have some answers for us....

how do i go back to stock when i sell and wanna take this radio with me if you had us cut up the jeep?

No CD/DVD slot. From what I've seen poking around, you're just going to have a better time with the newer model. The x209 has some weird and outdated software (things like not being able to fast forward music unless using bluetooth, Pandora app but no Spotify, etc). If you're upgrading for resale value the x209 will save you money, if you plan on using the Jeep the newer model is worth the extra pesos.

I just got a 2015 rub that had a x209d already installed and having all kinds of wierd issues. Backup camera won't work. Came on once for like a second. USB plug for flash drive doesn't do anything and isn't recognized in options. Remote doesn't work at all. I even changed battery. This jeep has only 24,000 miles on it so it was hardly used. For what these alpine systems cost they should work flawless still. Guess I'm gonna have to pull it out and check all connections. Uugh

That background music loop was excruciating.. that was like being on hold for 13 minutes. Other than that, the video was good.

That's what I was wondering. The video title says 2011-2018 and the Alpine website says it'll work for the 2011, but this guys keeps saying 2012 to 2018?

That light bleeding through on the side would drive me crazy, not the greatest fit and finish IMO
