Will they work in a 08-10 dash?

Are you happy with these units? I’m considering one for my 2008 F-150. The 8” fits perfectly without a trim ring.

Wish alpine would update the unit. The 8” is a perfect fit for the 2004-2014 f-150 opening without a trim kit.

Had you read the description when the X308u came out you would know about the faster processor. I own two X208U and they can be slow. The X308U is just to fix the slow processor problem.

have you been happy with these units? mainly the 308u? I can get it new for 425ish the new ilx-507 is $650 I was just about to buy the new alpine ilx-507 but I stumbled across a few of these x308u still new (they are discontinued now in early 2024) I want an alpine because of the dash cam capability. they both do dash cam.. but the x308u has navigation and the new to market ilx-507 does not. I think I can make the 8" fit in my trailblazer ss with some slight mods.

Did you get one? I just ordered a new one and the alpine dash kit for my 13 Denali. Can’t find much info on this unit.

I noticed the 208 was made in Japan while the 308 was made in Thailand.......I'd go the 208 for that reason alone.

And you'd be wrong. The X308U has a faster processor. I would gladly sell you my two X208U. This comparison is an uneducated one. The X208U is slower and less responsive, trust me on this.

The 308u has a more powerful processor and is supposed to be more responsive. They are not just a rebadge.

I bet if you went on google and did a search you would find the answer!!

@@zacharymcfarlin1270 You would have surely seen where it has a faster processor because the X208U is pretty slow in some functions, trust me, I have 5 years of experience living with the X208U and I can tell you how slow. The faster processor was the whole point. You have done a disservice by not reading up on both and most of the people commenting are even worse. These kinds of unresearched things piss me the hell off.
