Keep a thermometer in each section if using dual zone. These are great units but are notorious for not being calibrated correctly from factory. You can adjust the temperature by turning off the unit and holding the settings button which unlocks 9 different settings to adjust the unit. From max/min temp to current temp (to calibrate). And can adjust the unit to hold a specific temperature instead of the fluctuation of temperature before it kicks back on. As a truck driver with no battery/power issues I set mine to hold the specific temperatures I set instead of letting it wait to kick on to cool.

If you're solo you should lower your passenger seat down as low as it can go then strap your Alpicool in the seat. It will give you more room in the sleeper. Thank me later because that where i keep my Dometic but im going to buy a Alpicool next. Also you will be able to reach inside while driving and grab food or cold drinks

@EruditeTrucker i just got my cooler and tried it out. You mentioned you had frost in the left side. I don't know if you run yours divided as a freezer on one side and a fridge on the other but if you do, the instructions say to always keep the left side set warmer than the right side. So if you are using it divided, the left side should be the fridge and the right side should be the freezer. You may know this already but just in case you don't. 😉

I run my cooler without the dividers. One set temperature for the whole unit works best for my needs. Hopefully you're enjoying yours.

Four years ago when I bought an Alipcool (43qt with the LG compressor) I was concerned about quality and longevity. Three years ago I bought another one (same 43qt). Both have worked flawlessly and have been through some serious four-wheeling - very rough trails - both coolers strapped down inside my cab on the back seat area getting rocked and rolled for hours on end. And then the camping both in 99+ degree Texas summers on the beach with windblown sand and humidity, and winter camping in Colorado in the 20's. Oh yeah, and the late night raccoon attack on my campsite that left the insulated cover in shreds. I just bought this T60 (the LG model) and expect no less from it considering your review and many other reviews just like it.

Nice video. Question for you, when it's fully charged, how long can it maintain that coldness while it's not plugged in?

  • @EruditeTrucker

That really depends on the ambient temperature around the cooler and how often you open the lid. Based on my experience, if the internal cooler temperature is in the teens or 20s when unplugged and is left in a shady place, with minimal opening, it will stay cold for hours.

hi, I bought myself the same refrigerator, but I can’t set the temperature, how can I fix the temperature I need? How can I save it? For example, I want to set 47 degrees, but the standard temperature is set to 39, I set it to 47 and it resets back to 39

  • @EruditeTrucker

I've never encountered that issue. 🤔 Is your cooler set to dual zone or single? If you increase or decrease the temperature, the unit should steadily adjust to that level.

Are you intending for it to stay set for dual zone? If so, are you verifying what the temperatures for the two zones are? I keep my cooler set for single zone.

Do you think using it with cigarette plugger will drain my battery? And is it safe to do that? I am a truck driver but i have no clue how these electric stuff work in truck😂

  • @EruditeTrucker

Running the cooler with the cigarette lighter plug won't drain your battery any faster than using the wall plug. If you drive your truck during the day, you won't have any problems. The cooler uses very little power. Just be sure to turn the cooler off when you go home for a 34-hour reset or longer.
