As a French Horn player, I really love this sound, it is warm, it surrounds you, it seems make the body feel good. While the harmonies are very simple, they are so RICH. BRVO ALPINE HORNER

Als echter Eidgenosse ist das einfach Wunderschön das ist meine wirklich Heimat ich würde mich nie anderswo Einbürgern lassen würde für mich nie Infrage kommen als echter Eidgenosse ist mein Heimatland zuwert voll.

This video was filmed on the Gornergrat ridge in front of the Matterhorn mountain, south of Zermatt in southern Switzerland, at an elevation of more than 3,000 meters (10,000 ft.) above sea level. At this event, which took place on August 17, 2013, a new world record for largest group of people playing the alphorn (508) was set. Conducted by Gilbert Kolly, the musicians performed a piece specially composed for their wooden horns.. The previous record, set in 2009, was 366 musicians. The alphorn, which is traditionally used for herding animals, can be up to four meters in length.

imagine. one alphorn is around 1400€. then the 508 alphorns used for this record, have costed around 711200€. that's bonkers mate. (863200$)
