My sister is a AKA in West Chester and ever since I was little I've always looked up to the AKA's because I thought of them to be beautiful, graceful, and intelligent! My family has been "split" with so many sororities: AKAs, Deltas, Zetas, etc and to me they are equally great and awesome ♡

I've noticed AKA all over my community doing good works. It's a lifetime of belonging and service. I see sorors of all ages, even sorors in their 70s working on important projects in education, health and women's programs. They swoop in and save the day! Love the pink and green!

There's an elegance in this that I wish other chapters would strive for... all this "HOOD.. Lets be Bout It" antics aren't becoming of college educated people.

I agree with that act like educated...distinguished young women with class it's nice that they uphold the tradition on which the organization was built. It seems like everyone else is concerned with being entertaining instead.

AJ Powell I think the mis conception is that this is okay, unknowingly dealing with "ancient spirits" and free masonary. Yes there are christians involved. ..... because some 1, has convinced them its okay. Jesus refers to this as the blind leading the blind. I just so happen to be a man. and seeing so many men fall into the same mind state of followers in local communites, drugs. robbing. etc just because some 1 convinced them it is okay. now what you're doing is not illegal. in the eyes of the law. but it is immoral in terms of the house of the "" Lord. getting ppl. to join a secret society is not soul winning "" for the Lord. Jesus. the deciever always. .... makes ppl, think something is okay when its not. aka Lucifer. ancient wisdom and free masonary linages are " Satanic. the same way he has convinced ppl same sex marriage is okay. and lots of other things. 1 reason the world is falling apart. ....

There are other probates from other sororities that are just as classy.

Most Greeks started at the Mother Chapter Howard U. I am not Greek I am a Marine Vet. Shout out to Hbcu academics Education and Excellence.

These AKAs go hard like Tuskegee AKAs- see video "Tuskegee AKAs" or "Tuskegee University Step Show 2012 Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA)." ALL probates from both chapters just seem to be top notch every year!

I'm assuming this is the line they were sued over! SMH

I was thinking the same thing. I understand that AKA is notorious for the hair flipping, but are naturals allowed? I know how to pick up a flat iron, but my hair is not going to look perfect through all of that flipping. XD

Pirate Candy you could get a professional silk press. It doesn’t damage the hair and it’s not a perm.

Actually, I like the Alpha chapter of DST probates much better. Not only are they are classy they are on point and the probate has more substance....I must say I do like the old school Alpha Chapter AKA's probate.....their probate was more substantive and classy....as women we have to me more then just a cute face.....we have to present beauty, class and substance
