Nice video, The Thunder Bay River Restaurant at the end of your video used to be a Big Boy restaurant and I used to love going there.

Alpena has lots of old building's, places to fish. We have a cabin and land just 32 miles west of there in Atlanta, MI. Love up north

Alpena is alright. Lived there for 30 years. The Trump politics is not my thing, but there is something about the feeling that you can do and be what you want. It’s 300 miles from any large urban area. My ex and I raised two kids there and it was alright. I went to many AA meetings there in the eighties and nineties. Met some very compassionate and kind people there. Obviously, you have to keep your guard up, but that’s just common sense. Little traffic. In minutes, driving outside of town, you were out in the country. Lots of people put Alpena down. I always had a soft spot for it. It was city, in a way, yet, it could be kind of desolate and distant in its culture. You always ran into people you knew, which could be good, sometimes. Anonymity could be hard to come by, if that’s what you were seeking. All in all, I have a fondness for the little town.

I like it. I used to deal John Paul, the antique dealer. He died. He was a great guy.
