Honestly, I don't much care about the Oscar controversy (stupid awards, anyway) or whether this movie is worth watching. I just have the greatest admiration for the courage, spirit, strength, and grace of Joni E. Tada. That she can even sing after her body has been under such difficulties for so long is amazing. I have prayed for her to be healed, and I would love to see her walk before she goes to glory. Thanks, Joni. And Christians, please stop responding to haters/trolls/unkind folks with unkind remarks. Let's set a better example of mercy and kindness, eh?

Christianity is a stolen religion from the 12 Hebrew tribes that made up Yisra’êl after Roman Babel exiled them, THEN Christianity became a thing. Oh sweet Joni! what an inspiration you are! Your life is an example of loaves and fishes. With the little you seem to have (only by the world's standards--those gifts put in His hands seem to have no limits) thousands are fed. Millions are changed.

Thanks for putting this up. This morning it really ministered to me. My husband is a paraplegic and is having health problems. I was feeling overwhelmed and scared this morning and this song popped up on my fb feed. Joni has been an inspiration to my husband for the past 34 years. The Lord uses her all the time and it is so cool.

Joni is one of the most authentic and winsome ambassadors for Christ that I've ever seen. I pray that she gets many interviews because of this. Her testimony glorifies God.

I have heard this woman speak with James Dobson on the Focus on the Family program years ago. Her Faith is something to be desired. GOD Bless you Joni. Your singing and your life is a Great Testament to our Heavenly Father.

This is inspirational and makes me proud to be a human and a Christian. The haters out there who seek to pull this down only serve to testify to the evil in this world which they gladly embrace. Absolutely beautiful song! You can "feel" the Holy Spirit throughout this song Joni...God truly blessed you. I am old enough to know Joni's story she has been a spirit warrior for quite a long time...fighting and winning battles with God's help that most people with healthy bodies could not do. Ken...you are an angel! ;) I love God's people! I know the battles you fight in the entertainment industry & government. The fact that this was removed doesn't surprise me since there were demonic Katy Perry circus's ruling the show...which as a 55 year old who loves movies & the arts...makes me boil. But you did shine the light Joni & movie producers...and movie/song producers. I remember reading Joni's best-selling autobiography "Joni" in the 1970s. Her accident and subsequent paralysis were horrifying, but rather than give up or commit suicide, Joni relied on her faith and the love of family and friends to help her through. Truly an amazing woman.

Amazing song. A child of God is not alone, ever. He came for us. He died for us. He lives for us.

If you only knew how deeply moved I was by this entire video! I am a Christian talk show host, who is now in the middle of producing a Christian documentary. Until 2 months ago I didn't even know how to make videos, but somehow God has supernaturally taught me what I need to know in order to keep doing the work He has placed before me. I was deeply touched by Joni's prayer before she sang. I often pray this prayer myself...the balance between self doubt and total faith! What a beautiful job she did! I truly hope this wins the nomination! Congratulations!

I love Joni. She really does cast all her cares upon Him because He cares for her. I understand her prayer was meant to express to God her desire to glorify Him in her music.

Oh my!!! I have followed and loved Joni's ministry for a long time! My road has been long and at times hard, yet never have I experienced what Joni and Ken have been thru. As I listened and watched this, great tears welled up and ran down my cheeks. Starting in May of '13, I have had 5 foot surgeries, two new hips, a new shoulder and lost my gall bladder. In '04, I had a heart attack and a 4-way bypass done. In '86, I blew my back apart on the job, and resulting 6 1/2 hour surgery on 2/5/97 by two ortho surgeons. I do not know not having pain. The bottom line, as Joni says, is, He will never leave me nor forsake me. The mightiest blow was in 2010 when my wife left me on three days notice, having been married 48 years, three girls and two grandkids. Sin (satan) is very real, and he combs the earth seeking to destroy all. And the easiest point to be made is this..."BUT GOD!". He is my strength, fortress and my Kinsman Redeemer. At the Cross of Calvary, His blood washed us all clean. We must do only one thing...reach out and grab the Hand He is extending to us! Isaiah 45:22, the Lord God says it quite simply..."I am God and there is no other"! I shall go each day of my 75th year praising Him Who gave me life eternal! Ken Skeen

I think it's a lovely song. They should've allowed this song to go through the process of being chosen or eliminated. It was nominated and that alone says something for the song. I plan to purchase this song. I've found myself alone the majority of my life. I've learned to encourage myself with the promises of God. I don't care what you believe. I still have the freedom to believe what I choose. This song encourages me. .

yha Lee-----You said what we all could not say, even better. I used to work for a C4-5 quadriplegic myself and know how it feels to take care of one of these precious people. The life of a quadriplegic can sometimes be very rough, especially you sit in a wheelchair, get turned in bed, do certain routines. I learned a lot of things from the quadriplegic I cared for. I did this alone-----24/7.

WOWOWOWOW this is wonderful. I am blessed just to hear it. Thanks so much for uploading it. It brought Happy Tears to my eyes.

So simple, beautiful & elegant. The truthfulness of the song really came thru in Joni"s voice. People can deny the existence of God all they want, but when someone praises His name like Joni has done His glory shines thru any evil or dark lies that spoken about Him. God Bless You Joni. I saw the story about this song and how it beat out all those other top songs for the Oscar nomination and couldn't believe it. I had heard her sing in the past and thought that she was just ok and quite plain. This song she sings is fantastically beautiful. The lyrics, her style, her tone, and technique are absolutely beautiful. Someone else with more talent could have sang this but her voice and spirit is a total fit for the power behind this song. It is absolutely gripping to listen to as well.

I and my Mother both think this song should have been nominated for an Oscar.

It was nominated. then, unfortunately, the Academy rescinded the nomination. They claimed some urged Voters to vote for the song. I think it is the best theme song I've ever heard sung for a film. I will always wish it had won the Oscar, and that Joni had been able to sing it on Oscar night for the national and international audience. Joni humbly gave God the glory. I know God will honor her and the composer.

There are no words to describe the inspiration Joni has been to me. She is the best example of Christina faith. You are not alone!

VickiDKK Hay people I am not mocking anything. You all read my comment as a mock. How could you assume that it was. The song deserves the nomination. It is a wonderful song. Those that trashed its nomination are idiots and anti-Christians. My comment was that we need Christ now to set the world on the right path. I fear we Christians are under increasing persecution one again. I pray that Christ comes back sooner rather than later for we as a people do need Him in the world once more. I have read "Revelations" and the persecution will not stop until He come again as He promised.

This brought me to tears.

Knowing HE never lives us, nor forsakes us sometimes (for me) leaves a gap where my belief fails. What a blessing this song is to remind me of HIS truth!

Watched the movie last night...The strong faith the captives had in God who promised to be w them,makes me want to lean on Him more...Having Joni be a part thru this song was a perfect fit w this story of God's timing looking 'off' sometimes,yet His faithfulness to be with us.
