This was played pre Day 1 patch . I enjoyed the Game a lot but the Xbox version had a lot of issue when you shoot at an enemy you have audio delay and sometimes you get stuck in boxes where you can pick up the loot . Playtime is okay for me for first Playthrough once you know the riddles it gets to about 4 hours of playtime per Playthrough . 👻👻👻 out of 👻👻👻👻 only cause of the bugs I encountered otherwise 👻👻👻👻 Update Def. Play the game on Hard ….. doing a game movie on hard right now and the survival aspect is much better in hard mode

Wonderful news! Happy to see the Alone in the Dark franchise back again with a competently designed game for both veterans and new players to enjoy, unlike the previous last two (2008 game and Illumination). Also an ideal entry point for newcomers to the series and another solid alternative to enjoy outside of Resident Evil.

Modern RE games now revived these dead franchises back into existence: Silent Hill, Dead Space, Alone in the Dark, and Alan Wake. It gone full circle.

Congrats on getting all those rare achievements like "shoot an enemy with the shotgun."

I really enjoyed that back on the Dreamcast and thought it was genuinely scary... and the out of nowhere apparitions were pretty good jump scares... only beat the game once with Carby and never got far enough with Eileen to encounter the game's version of Mr. X... I'll get around to playing that game again, one of these days

I think Alone in the Dark 2 (1993) was pretty good, brought a lot of innovation... The first one (1992) too. Those are my favorites tbh. The new nightmare is good too but the others are top on my list.

@Morbidfilthz The Edward Carnby from that game was not even given that name by his parents, he was given that name by the people who "adopted" him. He's technically named after the Edward Carnby that existed decades before he was born, the one from the first three Alone In The Dark games, the 2008 one and this one. The original Edward Carnby became a well known paranormal activity investigator after Derceto.

Love that the desert part has a permanent eclipsed sun, unique atmosphere.

32:49 1/2 hour in and I love the game already, and the story is very good and interesting. 😎 I love how it looks like Silent Hill 1 (98) mix with Resident Evil.👍💯

This game marked my teenage era and it stayed in my thoughts for many years of course along with other PS1/PS2 games but this one with its puzzles and atmosphere is a very memorable one and I'm willing to replay it using an emulator on my computer before playing this new one which I haven't checked yet and about to do it now. Thanks for the upload!

NGL, this gives Resident Evil a run for its' money. The grand-daddy of survival horror returns!

The people working on Destinies had the best idea ever (in my mind) and still managed to make the worst dumpster fire ever with it. I mean, how could people not be excited by the idea of changing important events of a TV Series like Walking Dead? If one day another studio gets the rights to make a new "Destinies" type of game, I hope they won't screw up with Fear the Walking Dead or get a Destinies 2 involving Season 5-8 right.

Thank you for playing it and uploading it so quickly! I was really excited about the game and couldn't wait to fully watch it. Of course there are some smaller bugs and problems and there are games with better graphics, but I really enjoy it and love the storyline, it's so eerie. Almost made it through the video and can't imagine what the ending will look like. I also love the easter egg of the H.P. Lovecraft bust at 5:40:29 it's perfectly fitting for the cosmic/lovecraftian horror of this game. Edit: I didn't see this ending coming at all haha

If a modder can add weapons visible on the player instead of hidden when not in use, I’ll buy it. Much like Alan Wake 2 has in its native game feature. Otherwise that would bother me as it already made me cringe in this video. Other than that, it looks great and I’d play it. But the “bag of holding” GTA style magical weapon wheel bothers me too much

And..... of course you knew that Mr Belmont will show here bringing his love for the future of one of his most beloved franchise of all times knows as ALONE IN THE DARK right my old brother ? thank you for showing me proper gameplay for it, despite the fact that i do not like much the new redesign on beloved icon Edward Carnby in comparison to the ultimate cool Gothic badassery that he is in THE NEW NIGHTMARE i still can see that the game looks GORGEOUS and it has that one gameplay mechanic and combat/ Puzzle solving and mystery that it should have i know i know this more based on original old school Ed Carnby from the original masterpiece but i will always think of the New Nightmare version of him or even the AITD INFERNO when i think of him hope that we get to unlock a skin option for him and one that makes me look just as he did in The New Nightmare and the prequel comic book series of him, that would please the HELL out of my dumb nostalgic soul thank you for playing as old Ed badass Carnby my friend thank you for this

I've been looking forward to this game, really enjoyed the original series back at the day but this product seems somewhat rushed or even unfinished. Visual glitches, laggy sound, the pace is slow, also feels more natural at 150% of speed. I think I'll pass at least for now. Not gonna pay premium to do the betatesting.

It’s the same story beat just different cutscenes and interactions. The ending has the same outcome

To me it seems the molotovs does not work at all for you? Can clearly see you seemed not bother to use them anymore after many tries :). Or is it maybe necessary to light them up first ?
