I mean, 7 months ago it literally had a "Dark Man" trailer but that was silly because it was just the boss walking. No gameplay, but still asked for a pre order. Only several days before launch, they showed a gameplay trailer. So I guess it's reviews aren't that good.

@@user-vx6gs1ci1h Personally, I think it's because Atari/Infogrames marred the series name with stinkers like Illumination, so they had little faith in the game succeeding.

I like how, with no context, the final bit looks like it's just you going around with all the nice NPCs you probably met throughout the game, then less than a minute later it's full-on Blood Sacrifice cult, then a gore-fest where everyone just gets absolutely slaughtered at the drop of a hat.

This is almost exactly like that one game with the soldier fighting the hallucinations from his PTSD

holy shit final boss is a neat reference to one of lovecraft's outer gods. Might buy this game only for that reason :)

Wow, i've beated this game last weekend, and didnt even noticed that the game had bosses, apart from the last one. LOL.

and at the end , you discover that's a cult for Shub-Niggurath . Howard Philips Lovecraft universe !

Fighting the tentacle guys just needs the song stormtroopers by sabaton as your fighting them with the hammer lmao

So the final boss is a spectator?

The last boss fight is so bad. Let's put you in this tiny area with a massive boss and tons of other enemies that the boss spawns in. And on top of that, reloading takes forever and slows you down.

I find it funny that the final boss looks like a monster from Overlord. I think they were called Baby Goats, which is pretty similar to The Black Goat of the Woods. Not criticizing the design, just pointing out a neat design similarity.
