Alone in New York 🗽my experience with racism, visiting old neighborhood, grocery shopping, etc

Hey everyone!
Came back with another New York vlog :)
In this video, I shared my honest thoughts about racism.
But if there's one thing I'd like to add,
despite everything,
NY is still filled with so many warm-hearted people!
Just like anywhere else, there are oddballs,
but there are also plenty of good folks.
The next episode will also be about New York,
but it might be the last in this New York series!
Enjoy, and please stay tuned for part 3 🗽🩵

One good thing about New Yorkers (saying this as one 🤣) they'll ignore tf out of you, but if you need help they're ready to go! I'm sorry people are the worst, but I'm glad you got to meet the friend that made your first living in NY experience better! ☺ Looking forward to part 3, but take your time! 💕

I've been loving this NY series so much! I'm so sorry you had to experience racism, some people are nasty and ignorant, but I'm glad you were able to enjoy your trip anyways! I guess it's common to go back to a city or a place you loved and feel different, we grow up and we change our views sometimes, but we always feel something special towards that place. Looking forward to your next vlog!! 🫶🩷

Just for emergency sake. There is a product called “ Bleed stop” we were at our ranch and I was moving a marble nightstand and I literally cut a chunk of my finger. it wouldn’t stop bleeding and had to go back home. Bought the bleed stop at cvs and it stopped after a few applications. Didn’t have to go to the ER. it’s always good to have for emergencies. Hope your finger is feeling better 🩹❤️‍🩹

I recently saw the dill pickle potato chips! I was really surprised! I ended up picking up Sriracha honey potato chips and I'm looking forward to trying them. I actually work in the flatiron district so I've been to most of the places you visited. The best of course is Lysee! Over the past few years, I've eaten almost every single dessert there. I went a few weeks ago and the best thing I had was this pecan madeline. 😋

Lays dill pickle chips are one of my favs I’m glad you enjoyed them 😁. I don’t usually like sweets but those pastries looked delicious and the cafe was so cute! I’m glad you are back safe and sound. I’m sorry you had to experience such racial discrimination 😔. I hope I don’t take away from your feelings but I can say that I definitely relate to the experience of racism/discrimination, as a woman of colour. Aside from that your NYC vlog was awesome and Bryant park looks so cool. Great vlog 😊🩷.

The gloomy feeling could also be due to several other factors. This year is our presidential election and a lot of people are stressed out about it. There's been a rise in crime and people feel the government isn't doing enough to combat it so please be very careful especially in the subway in the future. The price of everything has gone up but the salaries haven't gone up enough to match. I'm sorry you experienced racism. It has nothing to do with who you are, horrible racist people will hate on ANYONE who's different from them; they're just waiting for the next target to channel their anger to. On a side note, concerning dental, when in NYC even if you don't have a dental emergency, try calling hospitals in the Bronx and seeing their prices. The Bronx is considered a low-income borough (I live there) so some hospitals will do free tooth extractions or tooth fillings are a muuuuch lower price than in Manhattan. My mother got 2 root canals done for $1000 in the Bronx whereas my friend got 1 root canal done in Manhattan for $3000.

@@nemokeemSomething I forgot to mention is that there's been an increase in immigrants coming to NYC and unfortunately some of them have been attacking people to rob them, breaking or stealing cars. So not only our own people are attacking us but foreigners as well and once again our mayor is doing nothing about it, really. A lot of New Yorkers are afraid to go out and have probably become wary of everyone around them. This doesn't excuse the racism, though. I love tourists and have always loved sitting in Times Square and watching them and their excitement. I wish people here understood that if tourists stop coming to visit, this city would cease to exist. You coming to stay here, buying gifts and having a good time, has greatly helped my city so thank you; we wouldn't be New York City without you. Do come back in the warmer months because we're also grumpy about the weather. Spring started on March 19th but it still feels like winter. Many of us are trying to save money on the electric bill by not turning on our heaters but then that means that we spend the entire day in a cold apartment; in the summer we might be grumpy again from the heat, though, haha. June and July are good months. We always get a heat wave in the beginning of August. Though hurricane season starts in July, we get the most stronger hurricanes in September and October.
