I'm a big fan of A-Raichu, but I'm not happy about that ability. I like it but it's meta dependant. I think a hidden ability that's less niche was in order and they banked on my guy.

You can also run a more bulky version by putting in some stats in special defense and giving it lightscreen. With lightscreen up the speedy sweeper has even more safety. Alolan Raichu is so overlooked in terms of popularity and competetive use, I just love this mon especially the shiny variant!

OG Kanto Raichu is one of my favorites. I really wish they would have released raichus final evolution, Gorochu. It was originally planned for the original games but was cut when they ran out of space. Sad times. #ReleaseGorochu

Surge surfer wouldn't make sense in grassy , misty or psychic terrain. Other Pokemon whether regional variant or new Pokemon should gain abilities that benefit from speed in other terrains.

Interestingly, Haydunn, about tera. If you have the ability Adaptability, you both only get 2.25x, instead of the 2x that adaptability provides, but you ALSO *DON'T* get rhe STAB from your old typings if you tera.

I have an Raichu-A trained up for battle but never got around to using it. I’ll have to play around with some new ideas now. Love your videos bro keep it up

Indeed, you don’t lose original STAB/s after terastalizing, so yeah, you can have up to 3 different STAB if you terastalize into a type different to the one/s you have

when you tera, your offensive damage is: original types PLUS tera. So a water tera torterra. would be Grass, Ground and water On offensive damage. WHile on defense its only water. So its weak to grass and electric

I'm wondering if Raichu wasn't life orb, would it have been able to sweep the team even with the poison slowly taking HP. It had very good coverage and nasty plot but as the old tootsie pop commercials would say "The World May Never Know!" 😂❤️

No poison at most gives you 6 turns if you stay in. All life orb did was remove one turn. He lost a turn on his Nasty Plot so he was only able to take out 4

@@yn-central_anime yup poison is % health not fixed amount like 20 etc so no matter what a pokemon only has at most 6 turns if poisoned. It is fixed in the % but not flat numbers. Gen 1 it was fixed at like 3% or so and burn is guarenteed 10 dmg regardless of HP size.

I heard a pokemons attack stats are also dropped when they get burn and when it comes to paralysis they're supposed to lose 1/4 their speed (I think). Does poison have a secondary effect like that?

@@yn-central_anime poisons only secondary effect is switching out resets how much % HP it takes. Burn halves BASE POWER of your physical moves not your attack stat, so moves like Foul Play or hitting yourself in confusion do not reduce if you're burned. Paralysis also halves your speed. Not a quarter.

The only alolan Raichu I'm aware of being on the switch is on lets go, you can trade a regular Raichu for alolan Raichu from a NPC, almost all alolan Raichus you see are gonna be from sun and moon lol
