Luke 5:4-6
When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

So I decided to re pot my aloe with a less dense soil (just potting soil) and go with a 90% small pebble/ 10% soil mix. Watered well and set out in the mid morning sun... I forgot all about the fact that this aloe was always in a South facing window (not used to full sun). First mistake. Then later that evening it rained, heavily, not to mention we get about 50 at night, and I forgot to bring in the plant. Second mistake. Morning breaks and my little guy is just done... Wilted, grey, mush... I just left it. Didn't know what to do. The pot dried down, got a sprinkle here and there from light rain but otherwise I left it. It got about 6 hours of sun a day. 2 weeks later I was outside and noticed the middle part was green. Like a freak'n EMT I rushed it inside pulled it out of the pot (the root wasn't dead, it was hard and healthy) and started carefully snipping the soggy bottom leaves. Then replanted, set in a southwest window ( late afternoon sun) and haven't touched it since. About a month since the "Big Mistake of 2021" (yes I titled it) and he is 100%. All green, no dead leaves, no mush. Mind you I did not cut it back too much, just the worst parts. They just... Healed. From wrinkled and grey to plump and green. So next time... Just stop. Let it dry. Let it heal. They were here long before us... UPDATE: 3 weeks later and she has a pup! So excited. I just water a little once a week.

Wow. Thank you for the video. So if the plant is rotted, and you took off the leaves that are rotting, do you still use the leaves for soaps and such? Also, it looked like there were pups in the plant. We’re you able to save those? Also, I am very interested in knowing when you started this garden and why? Thank you.

No, I didn't use the leaves because rotting leaves have a smell like a stinky onion (I guess), even those leaves which were not rotten in the video finally rots the following day. Yes, I planted the pups. I started planting about 6 years ago when a friend gave me 5 pups. I got interested when I saw him juicing it. I didn't know that time that Aloe Vera is edible. I also love plants. I have so many plants at home that I didn't show in the video because this channel is focus on Aloe Vera. When my Aloe Vera starts to propagate and became too many for me to juice, I started making soaps, lotions and creams using Aloe Vera and started selling them. :)

What can I do to prevent this ? I have 2 aloes they were growing so lovely and all of a sudden both started to show signs I had to take them out of the container and removed all rotten leaves I left 3 standing so I hope they will recover but I didn’t do anything different so I don’t know how to prevent if

What I did was to limit the use of compost soil, although I still use them to make the plant healthy. You can use fungicide for better prevention. I don't use it though because I eat my Aloe vera and I don't want any chemicals in my food especially fungicide. :)

Hi mariancxz, sometimes it's just the soil that caused those spots specially if the the back of the leaves touch the soil for quite some time. There's nothing to worry. Other than that, I may need to see the plant to see if it is a fungus infection.
