Aloe vera Leaf Propagation: A Step-By-Step Guide

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

There are still a lot of people that don't believe that Aloe vera leaf can be propagated and left comments in my videos that they are not true because they have tried it, and it didn't work. So I made this video to show a step-by-step guide on how to propagate Aloe vera leaf.

    I’ve watched almost all your videos in the past few days and have learned a lot, thank you for making these guides and sharing your passion and knowledge of aloe with us. One topic I would like to learn more about is how to correctly fertilize aloe vera using organic methods. I also am interested in growing other kinds of aloe from seed, though that might not be a topic that you’d be interested in covering. Thank you again for your videos!

    You always have the best videos on aloe vera! ❤ At what point in propagation do you begin watering? Do you wait for the parent leaf to start to shrivel? I am out here in the hot desert 3% humidity, so I have to pay closer attention to watering. I would like to try this indoors where it is not so hot, but it is still very dry. Super appreciate your videos and input, thank you!

    This worked for me! 🤩 Very cool. It also happened with one where I went to gently reposition a plant, and the entire plant except the bottom leaf somehow popped out in my hand... So I planted that, and left the one leaf in the existing pot. Now a new plant is growing on the outside of the bottom edge of that leaf, and a second new plant started growing in the center of the base of the original leaf! Interesting plants. Thanks for the tips! 🪴☀️🎉 I have a kind of unrelated question, if you or anyone here might know. I have one aloe plant that started growing new leaves that are almost white in the center, with very dark green stripes (parallel with the leaf shape). It's very pretty, but I'm hoping it's not a sign of disease... It seems fine otherwise, and is even producing pups, so perhaps it's just a different type of aloe from the others. If anyone knows, I'd be curious! Thanks again, regardless. :)

    I'm no expert, but generally spurting off pups from pups is a sign of unhappy living conditions [hence the aim to rapidly replicate, which in succulent species tends to work well in conditions of either too much or too little water...] I've learned this the hard way, but to my benefit, gifting me pups that've taught me plenty. Similar to gifts of thousands of baby cichlid baby fishies that I wasn't ready for, although that was a sign I was doing things correctly, but then had to scramble to decide what to do with all of those.

    Weather conditions and plant health affects their leaves. If given enough sunlight, their leaves will point straight up, with less sunlight they will grow sidewards. With less water, you will have thinner leaves, with enough water, they will have thick leaves.

Cosa faccio? Grazie

    How to take care of aloe vera during rainy season ?

  • @TheAloeVeraGarden

    @TheAloeVeraGarden

    This is a very good question, specially if your Aloe vera plants are potted and placed in the open. Rainy season would flash out the soil nutrients in the pot faster than the plant can absorb, so it's important to feed the plants with nutrients more often than usual.
