First time i watching Aleovera can cook...I eat raw which is very healthy...my hats off to old mataji ,so much hard work she does.

Those who are asking if this will taste bitter: No this won't because Dadi kept it in Salt water for sometime which reduces the bitterness of Aloe Vera This same process is repeated at my home when we make Karela ki sabzi and my grandparents still eats Aloe Vera Sabji sometimes

This variety of aloe vera is not bitter. I have it at home, I can eat the flesh straight away and it's tasteless.

Salt reduces the bitterness of anything. If your coffee is too bitter, ad the tiniest pinch of salt. If your cake batter came out too bitter, ad a pinch of salt. Salt is like magic powder for bitter.

There is something deeply satisfying about watching them scrape the aloe vera. I’m going to try cooking aloe now, I would love to see more recipes with that beautiful leaf.

Alovera is not only for sunburn. Its used for pimples/Acne, wrinkles,oily skin, open pores, skin rashes , as gel moisturizers for sensitive, oily n dry skin,digestion prblms etc etc

Aloe sabzi is made in my house with spices, ghee, butter and cashew base, not tomato base and no onions and garlic. Make sure yall add some hot spices apart from red chilli so that u get the best taste. Ghritkumari(aloevera) and shatavari(asparagus?) are some of the best vegetables for female reproductive system, atleast according to ayurveda.
