Fun fact, in the Normandy campaign churches actually played a pretty important role as almost every town would have a church near its center, giving a good vantage point for defense.

That and it was very common for towns to have more than one (like one main church for the dominate religion in the town and then several smaller ones for the lesser religions) due to the fact that each religion variation back then REALLY needed their own church as they weren't allowed in a church of a religion that differed even slightly unlike today's churches which are nearly a "one size fits all" kind of deal.

Fun fact, that’s an absolute bunch of nonsense because in WWII, it broke the Geneva convention to practice attacks against any form of cultural property under Rule 38, and bans the use of any cultural property for any military use or purpose, with the exception of a medic station but only under the consent from the properties officials or owners under Rule 39, and it says the same things for Germans in The Hague regulations under section 7-B. So please for the love of god, don’t just repeat things you hear.

3:46 I did not know this was a thing in game, but in real life it makes sense: the warmer air is, the less compact it is. So by having a colder environment the shell will hit more air particles as it travels (slowing it down) compared to warmer environments. (this rule applies to all substances: as they cool down they compress and when they warm up they expand. A perfect example of this are mercury thermometers). Edit: someone below commented about this and it is true; the trajectory is also affected by propellant temperature, since it will burn faster at a warmer environment. Though which if these two if not both are modeled I do not know.

However lower air temperature (assuming you're doing shooty with planes) is at a lot higher altitudes. Where the air is very thin already. Also YES war Thunder does take into account that jet engines perform better with low air temperatures than high heat

Another almost useful knowledge is that the L3/33 can hide inside the houses at the A point on the map Japan if you shoot out a door first. The walls will be invisible from the inside so you see the enemy while they can't see you.

Fun useless fact. Back in Ground forces CBT the shot camera wasn't in little window on the screen but rather a 3D model attached to the actual vehicle. Meaning when you shot a tank you saw your round do module damage in real time as the skeleton damage structure became the 3D model of the actual tank temporarily.

One explanation for 3:45 is that the temperature affects the velocity of the projectile you're shooting. One way it does that is the gunpowder burns a tiny bit slower, slightly decreasing velocity and therefore increasing projectile drop, in the cold environments compared to hot environments.

Long ago the mouse aim artillery used to be the only method, there was no mini-map option.

3:41 drop of the shell is difrent for difrent air temperatures (due to fact that colder air has bigger dencity so drag is bigger so shell will be slowing down faster). Its also work in air battles where planes in Winter have smaller stall speed.

The test drive map for boats, Fiji, has islands shape like a turtle

The protection analysis now allows you to test the different MG rounds used by the selected tank

3:42 I have noticed that in air winter battles (like ladoga and Mozdok winter) the IAS (air speed) at sea level is more than the speed of the aircraft. The same logic is with the tanks shells (more IAS = slower shell).

@@danielm.595 Have you played Cuisine Royale (which is now CRSD)? Tbh, it's just my opinion. I expected Enlisted to be a more realistic WW 2 game and Gayjin didn't make it that way. They chose a more arcadey gun play with almost-instant reload. I just don't find the game appealing with that reason alone .

Hong Kong and Taiwan are probably not there because China Wales/Scotland are proper countries with governments while Texas/Quebec are parts of countries with only local governing bodies (Maryland flag when) Besides the flags are obtainable it's super weird you can't buy them

Here in Australia we have photography classes to edit our images so they aren't upside down anymore. In the morning it's impossible not to be dissoriantated. When we cross the equator it feels weird not being upside down.

Mostly useless because of the timer though. Also, you have to be really precise with your drops, and if you’re that accurate, might as well bomb the tanks directly.

The tank directing artillery on itself. I've heard an urban legend of a disabled KV-2 either in the winter war or the continuation war that was disabled by the finnish and started directing artillery with its radio to ontop of itself.

For the different drops in different environments maybe it's because cold air is thicker so the shell goes through more on the way to the target slowing it down faster.

"For Historical accuracy" *Looks at ME163's fighting lightning's, R3T20s clubbing Shermans, the F89D being extremely effective* Yeah.....

To explain the tank shell drop in different maps: that's because of different temperatures and altitude. To further explain: Temperature: air temperature is a measurement of how much the molecules move around. The more they move, the farther apart they are. And with less molecules to push through, there's less air to slow your shell down, resulting in a flatter trajectory at higher temperatures. The same concept also affects the flight performance of planes. Altitude: basically just how high above sea level you are. Air is also affected by gravity. (the atmosphere gets thinner as you go up) Together, these two factors can have an impact on tank shells and aircraft flight performance.

One knowlodge that not many players know about, but, it's possible to stabilize practically every tank in the game, even without a stabilizer, in controls for movement there's "ground vehicle transmission gear up/down (frontwards/backwards), I think by default it's E and Q, and it sets the speed of the tank to slow, medium, and fast, on slow speed you get stabilized, the Tortoise and T95 are stabilized even on medium speed, but some tanks aren't able to stabilize even on slow speed, like the phanter series. But! there's actually a way of stabilizing even those tanks that can't in slow speed, still on controls for movements, there's "Transmission Mode", which changes the way your transmission work, where you manually put what gears it shifts to using E and Q, the panther on slow speed (CC 1) goes to gear 4, changing the transmission mode to manual you can change to gear 3, and be stabilized.

You missed one. On the Hurricane 1b late, there is a Polish Hurricane skin. But the default is identical so if you have the Polish AF insignia you can create it for free

The different maps affecting drop is due to air density from air temperature. A colder environment has denser air and will slow down projectiles ever so slightly more.

Powder burns slower at lower temps which means less oof our barrel. Which means less ground traveled in same amount of time dropped. Which makes drop bigger.

The artillery voiceline(s!) play when you use the map to put arty down on yourself as well, just needs to be in a certain distance

The rocket booster on the mirage also allows you to pull more AoA because the thrust overall is offset

You can get the "Target my location!" voiceline by dropping the artillery within a few meters of yourself on the minimap as well, not just using the third person aiming. I think there might even be another voiceline for dropping artillery on yourself saying something like "Artillery on me. Repeat, artillery on me!"

Just to note, the Type 91 SAM found on Type 93 is all-aspect with 4.5km range, or rear aspect at 7km

The pressure acts from all directions, not only the top. But yeah, colder air, denser air, projectile slows down faster, has more ‘drop’ in regards to distance traveled.
