Hey Flambass, it sure has been a long time. Glad I finally got to see a video right as it came out. Love your content. I really appreciate what you are doing for the community by posting a F2P account. It really has given me a different outlook on WoW lately. This game has been hard to pick up the last year. I play vanilla, no mods, there are few useful ones that I used for casting tournaments, which would then stick on for the duration of the patch but mostly I don't play with them. Not to mention that most of them I consider cheating and since WG is too lazy to police it they just said most of these mods are fine xD@@talktothebarrel9333

@@Flambass she got some fat American turrets, lumbering as they are. there slow and you can tell just be looking them. the LEx and Saratoga had the same guns at first then the us said, "This sucks." then five inch guns mounts.

@@Flambass Can you please help me understand why you called for intel on the right side of the map then moved to fire in the center of the map? Just trying to understand what I am missing, was the middle area more of a threat or something?

I actually enjoyed my run in the Grey Ghost. Of course, it was before the CV rework, so the AA guns were actually great for her tier. The 8" rifles let you punch a bit above your weight class, but I always had the fact that she was armored like a CL in mind. I recall getting a couple of Kraken's in her, and sinking a Nelson at 3km range with secondaries was a hoot. The best games, no matter the ship, is when the "somebody else's problem field" is working at full strength. You could try hunting an elusive Kraken in the Krispy Kreme.

The citadel of sadness, I played PC ships and got to Des Moines, with the subs and how strong carriers were I went back to console for the fun aspect.

Pensacola. Man ive always hated regrinding us heavys for rp and getting to her. I could understand if she had along reload or slow traverse but having both in this day and age makes her feel like a battleship at times with much less armor.

I have this ship but i love the cleveland. I had it set up with speed,detection,extended range,rudder shift. It was my fire ship. I used to troll battleships to chase me. Then ud watch and zig zag every time they fired. As i turned just enough for the turrets to swing left and right so by the time the last cannon in fron fired my rear ones would be ready. I'd keep just out of my range and shoot so when my shells landed the ship chasing was there. With this I set more fires and sunk more battleships than anything else. It was my fireship. It would shoot a continuous fire the way I played it.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the Pensacola. Honestly it's one of my favorite mid tier ships. The weight of its broadside makes it such a dangerous ship against any cruiser or battleship that dares turn broadside against it. The turret traverse is tragic and I'd like to see it buffed, but even as it is I consider it a really strong choice in a tier 6 battle. It's especially good in Ranked.

It got buffed after I ground through it. Same for the Yorck as well. Rarely *not* bottom tier (-2), and frequently losing over 75% of my health as soon as a CV or DD spotted me.

I had such a good time in my Penn when I grinded through it years ago, I grinded it when it still had the old 15+km concealment, once they fixed that it was fun to play. I dunno how she holds up to the current meta, I just started a new account myself, maybe I'll try that grind again

Honestly it's a little busted for a T6 (I mean they just took a T7 and made it a T6 tbh). The only nerfs they did were to the concealment, turret traverse, and HP pool. It plays almost like a T6 Stalin, with the slow but hard-hitting guns and ability to autobounce most same-tier BB AP. Like the Stalin, you can be detected from the moon. And like the Stalin, if you show broadside you immediately explode. The biggest difference is that Pensacola's shells have air drag and Stalin's don't.

I totally feel your pain on this, it's bad. Even Ftp it's worth using up free XP to get past... The match-ups can be dreadful.

I’ve played 2 games in this ship so far, 2 kills and 4 kills. The thing is what I want when playing a battleship. The ap pens when it overpens on a bb and and pens when he would not. Itw so fun to punish broadsides with

I played this ship and New Orleans in randoms only long enough to have a 50% win record in randoms. I got lucky with Pen but not so with New Orleans. Had to play 38 matches to reach 50% win rate in randoms (solo) with New Orleans.

Captains.. work one through the cruiser line for example or one per ship?

how many games in a cruiser you have to play before seeing subs and cv's? i play only bb but have started playing ca's and have yet to see a sub or cv in almost a whole day. think it was more like half the day i played come to think of it now

i kinda like the pepsi but i have to agree the turret traverse could be buffed (30 seconds or less). A lot of Japanese Torpedo boats would also welcome a turret traverse buff

Been a long time but I always did well in the Pensacola and New Orleans. I enjoyed both. Again, was a few years ago before the game really jumped the shark, though.

Heya Flambass, I'm wondering which commander's voice you use for this match? I'll admit that it's easier (hence can react quicker) to hear torp warning as from left/right/front/behind rather than port/starboard/bow/stern. Cheers

and the OG Pepsi was also Tier 7 and you got her after the Tier 6 Cleveland. Then WG finally did the US Cruiser Split. Pepsi, New Orleans and Baltimore went all down 1 Tier while the Cleveland was buffed and is now Tier 8

I don't think Ive spent money on the game in over 2 years. I bought a bunch of Santa Containers and haven't spent a penny since. I still have like 500 days of premium because I got so many days

I miss Tier 6 Cleveland still. Im still butt hurt over that change lol..

getting these guns on target is frustrating, but PensaWholeLot AP is scary. it's too bad you had such a bad run with it. maybe the guns make up for my lack of skill in other areas, cuz i usually have no plan on where to go and i'm shit with torps.

I still think it's stupid this ship didn't get a reload buff. People are like "BUt iT HaS 203Mm guNs!111!!" but that's ALL it has. Piss weak armor, poor ROF, no torps. The Pepsi doesn't have anything in it's favor if it gets pushed and it struggles to win any kind of brawl. the least they could have done was drop the reload to 12 seconds.

What are you complaining about, 6 battles, pff. My record was 15 straight losses with Aoba back in the day when there was no boosters or anything else then premium account. Thats was a nightmare.

They are all over matched easily and can't carry with the exception of freaks like the Budyonny. Cola has 8x8" and smacks hard.. Somebody is just too stubborn to find an island and lob over it vs trying to juke in open water relying on noobs to miss. If its not a gatling firing HE spammer with a gimmick you streamers call it trash. Last, while subs and CVs suck they don't suck as much as pay to win trash like the Belfast or GC.
