Another great video guys doing your own services and repairs saves money of course we do all our own maintenance and repairs like you guys not much we don't take on. Like you we box up and do our own cementing hard work sometimes but the end result is good and the calves are beautiful takes me back to our dairy farming days it was a great life on the farm very satisfying.

Never a dull moment on a farm is there 😊

About 10 years ago I come onto a product that was very useful. It's a primer in a rattle can and I call it weld through primer. You can prime the back of the pieces of metal that you're welding, it helps preserve.

My wife and I had a Dairy for 17 years worked together With our two boys. I rebuilt a trailer just like you're doing it worked out very well. It was in damascus arkansas

A pipe guard railing built around the waterer would help keep the cattle from standing on the waterer. Those Richie's aren't built strong enough to be unprotected in a pen

Gosh, Ronda, I didn't remember what coat you had on and thought you were screeding on the other end from Kevin! I was just shocked at you doing that instead of one of the boys, but you do plenty as it is. So, was there fiberglass instead of mesh in the crete?Oh, and nice job on the trailer rebuild, Kevin and guys. I've done a couple, too, and yes, buying fenders gives a far better finished look.

Always something to do on a farm, animals will see to that. Did you and Kevin find a solution to the grape trellis? I would think bending and tacking some long rebar might support the weight during the growing months. May your family have a peace filled and blessed Christmas.

I'm going to be redo the whole grape trellis this winter.

A sandblaster would be useful.

Put a piece of cat walk grate couple inches below the water line and they couldn't put their feet in it.

Have you considered doing a fiberglass repair on the waterer

Hello Rhonda, I have a question. I have a 1980s Wheel Horse Work Horse Garden tractor that was given to me by my late father-in-law. It has always been very difficult to get started unless I used starting fluid. I used it for a few years until it would stop running when I was mowing the ditches. It runs okay on flat land. Would Sanders be willing to work on it when he has spare time. I've watched all your videos, and I know living on a farm, there's not a lot of spare time. You should remember me. I have messaged you in the past, and we've seen each other at the live stock auction house. If you don't remember me, let me know here, and I'll send you a message.

That's how it is on a Dairy. The calves will be fed thier mother's colostrum and milk for a few days, and then her milk will be put in the cooling tank with the rest of the milk. The calves will continue to be fed milk for a few weeks and then transition to grain and hay diet. Bull calves are sold to be raised for beef or veal.

@@acresofclayhomestead Farming isn't for the faint of heart. People feed cattle, and cattle feed people. Keeping them alive for harvest is what we do. Providing the best of feeds and proper medical attention is how we do it. Vaccination programs, balanced nutrition, and the utmost kind handling with good facilities and a mindset geared towards humane treatment is the standard.

Nice work! What are you guys doing for lights for the trailer? LEDs? Also it was nice to see you guys pour that concrete, I just made a paving stone in my horticulture red seal certificate course I’m taking. That was nice screeding they did, it took me a second to get a good technique doing it. Thanks Ronda for another awesome video.
