Almost every single Maris remark/Joke [Frasier]

This took so much effort, had to make over ten versions. Almost every single Maris remark/Joke had well over two clips of footage to go through and I know I missed about four which is more frustrating for me than it is for you.
God damn it Maris.

Whoever came up with Maris’ character concept and the endless possibilities as to why she ‘couldn’t make it’ was just brilliant. The show producers saved a ton of money ‘not paying’ anyone to play that character and even if that person had appeared, it never would have been as funny! That is the brilliance of writing but also of delivery by Niles/Frasier/Martin!

It was thirty days going through all eleven seasons and recording the footage. Two hundred and eighteen clips of footage however I had to re record about fifteen clips because I messed them up. It was three hours of raw footage and I shaved about an hour off it. I then had to render it (each render took about six hours) eighteen times each time triggering youtube copyright so I then had to edit it further removing the parts that did trigger it while maintaining the jokes. sp thats one hundred and eight hours of rendering, I probably spent fifteen hours editing it. Frasier's run time is twelve hours and thirty minutes so about fourteen hours given all the re records. So in total it was one hundred and thirty seven hours of work. ...Jesus christ thats the first time I actually calculated that.

More impressive than you think. Not as impressive as I demand of myself. I created this video via screen capturingscenes of Frasier on a 720p monitor then refining them in the editor. In total between watching, working on, and rendering. It took 137 hours to create. Now the average video editor hourly wage is £27.47 so thats £3763.39 I would have been paid to make this. But instead I have earned nothing. Not overly impressive. But I am a perfectionist, I am remaking this compilation along with all my others. Instead of screen capturing, I will be loading the full mp4s into the video editor and just cutting them out. In total thats 274 hours of footage I have to trim for both cheers and fraiser. In 1080p quality. Then I will have to go through the rendering again, again for nothing. Now that, is actually impressive. Assuming I succeed.

Surely this and Golden Girls, The Office and some episodes of Cheers are amongst the most intelligent and funny comedy to come from that otherwise cultural wasteland of. the USA. There have been some excellent dramas too, but only where the machinations of corporate Hollywood studios has not got its grubby hands on proceedings and turned it into a three ringed circus.

I don't even watch the B story, I just think Martin has some of his best lines ever in that episode, especially when he illustrates that he does indeed know the difference between accidental and deliberate. And then the irony of the recreated chair now being the most expensive piece in the entire eclectic apartment. I even like the silly little exachange between Niles and Frasier about the existence of a new shade of Berber carpet.
