Almost Endless! - Metal Detecting LOADS of Silver, Tokens, & Depression Relics Scattered Everywhere!
Ойын-сауық
All winter long when the ground everywhere else was frozen we were able to metal detect at this amazing field that we lovingly call The Field of 1,000 Holes. Not only did it have soft sandy soil that took much colder temperatures to freeze, but it is also just loaded with Depression era coins, tokens, silverware, keys, buttons, marbles, badges; you name it, it was there and it was old! We think it was some kind of dumping ground for restaurants, schools, and businesses in the pre-WWII era but we've never been able to verify it. Even when the ground was thawing at other much older fields, we still kept coming back because this place was a home run time and time again after what seemed like countless trips. Now as winter is coming to a close and the farmer is getting ready for his spring plow we will lose this place until after the fall harvest. We'll have one last shot before the crops go into the ground but I thought I put together a fun hodgepodge of all the clips of the good, interesting, or funny items found over many many trips that for time reasons just never made the original video. I'm sure next winter we will be back again, but for now we say goodbye to our incredible Field of 1,000 Holes...

AUsome finds at an incredible site! Thanks for sharing the finds and the laughter! GL & HH on your next detecting adventure!
Doug looks like Paul Newman without his hat lmao
Has anyone checked the history of that field yet. I want to know why there’s so much variety of tokens and stuff.
The "little balls" around the onyx are marcasite, a type of pyrite used on a lot of jewelry from Victorian times to the present. Very popular in the earlier part of the twentieth-century.
Awesome sterling silver pendant Jason. Nice fork Paul. Love all the marbles. Great American legion souvenir thing Joe. Good find on the Brooks token/credit card Doug.
Cashmere Bouquet by Colgate is what was on the Thimble looking item.. Nice dig, lots of fantastic finds
So many more amazing finds, they all deserved some video time. Hi Doug 🙋♀️ That last token was extra nice, I love you!

Man that field is awesome and the content from it never gets old. Definitely a prime spot!
Seems like that place could have been a fair area or a large picnic area at one time, definitely was alot of large gatherings were held there, don't think it was a trash pit though... to many good finds for that.
I found my first Barber Dime yesterday in a road strip in a town here in florida. I love finding old things.
Yall are so much FUN !!!

That little thing with all the holes looks like half of a steeping ball that you would do tea in.

That's exactly what I saw as well. I can't believe that it's in as good of shape as it is.
1st piece is probly Victorian mourning jewelry and the tea ball, missing a chain, held loose tea. Great finds guys!
If it was onyx you wouldn't be able to see light through it. It's probably obsidian. Still awesome find.

Another classic! Recently moved to NJ and would love the chance to dig with you guys! Happy hunting boys
the item that has the little holes in it could be a pomander ball, for potpourri or maybe a powder make up filter. great find!
Rich's medal is the Miraculous medal says, " Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us to have recourse to thee"....
Another excellent video l really enjoyed it.
You and Doug kill me man you guys are hilarious! Like Dougs filigree broach or hairpiece and that other thing with the holes in it that's definitely silver looks like silver to me great video 😊👍🦀
Hey!!!! It's been forever since I've seen one of your videos. DOUG!!!!❤️❤️ SO GOOD to see you guys! Xoxo
Great finds guys! That thimble looking thing looks like it says, Cashmere Bouquet? Well that’s what it looks like to me! Happy researching Jason!
I love the stuff you guys find five stars my friends thank you
Love the SAFE lock . So much stuff hard to believe it's in one property
Been waiting for this!! 👊
Well I got a Teknetics T 2 and I’m starting back … I’m retired and have time on my hands. It has been 42 years since I have used a metal detector. Man have they changed. I had a Whites coinmaster 6000 back then. Found a lot of artifacts. Enjoyed watching y’all !!!
🌵 Thanks for the video 🌵
There was a Brooks bros. On the kansas city plaza that closed this last year. It was in business over 100 years! Great find Doug!. Paul's token was so mint looking as well!
That is a awesome place to hunt for sure. Carl
Great video and Doug got a hair cut a lot of history pieces of the area
I am always rooting for Doug because he responds to my posts....(and he's very cool) When I develop my gold magnet you guys are the SECOND people I am going to give on to. The first is promised to a gold prospector friend "Flour Gold Wizards".

I LOVE this place. You all find the coolest things! Someday I'd love to join you guys there! Don't worry it'll be a long while. I have an old metal detector from Radio Shack! Lol I think that first find with the onyx stone looks to be a ring.
Way to go Doug you’re the best and the rest is ok 👍.
Marcasite is usually set in silver on that mourning pin and the later piece is the top of a ladies hair comb
Cashmere boutique agate colour 🤙🏻👌
Half of a tea ball? The straining spoon bowl ball
Neat finds Jason. So good to see another video. And its weird about marbles. Every time it rains a good bit here, it washes up new marbles. Theyre all the same........but its interesting.
Dude nice dirt to hunt 🙌
That silver and onyx piece you found looks like it may be the top of a walking stick or riding crop.
Looking at the back of that 1st jewelry piece, it looks like it may have been a ring. If you look close you can see where the ring band looks like it was attached.
The Calvin Coolidge "50" token is a cracker Jack prize
Wow...Musta been a factory that produced tokens on that land... That's insane the amount and variety of tokens....congrats to all you guys...
Interesting little things!! That thing with the numbers around the edge is a clock pencil sharpener. My buddy Andy dug one for our museum contract.

Can't believe the treasure field that place is.... amazing, do you think an old store used to be there?! So many cool items its unbelievable!
Hey great video. That thimble shaped object says Cashmere Bouquet
That looks like a civil war era clay marble. Bennington company made them in that green/teal color
I think that thimble looking thing that says Cashmere Bouquet Colgate on it is the top from a tube of lipstick.
I’m a 14 year old girl and i would love to go metal detecting and it may seem odd considering my age but the artifacts that you can find are stunning and fantastic

Any advice on where I can find a metal detector? and equipments?
@Suz9006
2 жыл бұрын
@@Hailey-on9ms some sports shops like Cabelas carry metal detectors. To get one that is a good starter detector, rather than a toy, you need to spend at least $300.
Your "thimble" says Cashmere Bouquet, Colgate. Cashmere Bouquet was a line of products made by Colgate, and your thimble is probably the cap to a small tube of lipstick. There's one on eBay right now and it's the only one I found doing a quick search. I was curious about what it was because I've used their soap many, many times. I think these products were made from at about 1910 or earlier, until the 1960's. You may already know all this by now, but maybe not. I've watched every video set in this field, and you guys have sure had some interesting and unusual finds.
The thing you thought was a strainer is actually an old metal eye patch! Really cool find. 23:17
That probably was a tea strainer with all the holes
