Remember 100 years ago when rugs were taken outside, hung over a clothesline, and beaten? How many whacks would be necessary to release 3 kilos of dust?? Amazing!!

I've had to beat rugs... I can't answer the question though because it feels like they never fully got clean no matter how many times I beat them. Nowhere near that this machine did.

@@pattylecompte9846 Might be.. lol!! I'm an old woman with a great imagination though. Good guess, as my name is used for both men and women.
I love how that machine works! That did look like a Navajo rug and that did look like sand more than dust. Lots of shiny silica. And if you have seen where those rugs are woven, and how the yarn is spun, there is a lot of sand everywhere. Pretty hard to get sand out of the sheep's wool before spinning. Fantastic process. I think I would use that if I put my Navajo rug on the floor. No, it is on the wall. When I finish the one I'm weaving, I might put that on the floor. That was one very incredible rug! Thank you for showing this system. Love the pride in his work.
Figuring in my head, a quarter to a third of the weight of the rug was in dust alone. That's amazing. Thanks for the demo.
Jakob, I so appreciate your hard work and passion in cleaning the rugs. You return the rugs to their original glory, making them look brand new! 😁
And just think...all of the carpets he's done washing videos on have already gone through the dusting machine and still dump out that much muddy water!
