Wow so much work and money you put into these cars Pete ! So different from the 70's when "Balmy" Ted Butler used to celebrate his ample wins by rolling it across the finish line at Arlington, with all the doors opening as he rolled ! 🤣

When I raced one of the rules was "No race built engines" !!!! When I built bangers everything was a struggle 😂😂😂

As much as i admire the effort time and money that goes into these modern cars , buts its as far away from banger racing as its ever been for most people The Bws is a totally different level . Its pretty much professional now .

Everyone has a different level they want to compete at. Much easier to go racing in a Volvo 740 on the key but this is where racing has evolved to in order to be competitive and up in the top of the points unfortunately.

Huh, so it seems the legend was correct - it wasn't a myth... ...the bench top is indeed flat. Whodafunkit 😆 If your 'somewhere safe' is like mine - its got a lot to answer for! However, after re-buying the bits and pieces that were put into said 'somewhere safe' - when you later find the sodding place again - its like finding a couple notes in a jacket you last wore going out-out! 'Cracking' work on that diff, as for bolts - etc - nesquick tubs are great - bright yellow so they stand out and you can write on them! Looking forwards to the next episode!

Races are won in the garage - totally relate to that when I was racing Superstox. Sometimes hours and days in the garage for 30s racing - rolling lap music stops and already had a crash - been there done that - good vid mate

Loved this vid Pete the building and rolling road , it's tough work but rewarding. Must visit you in the pits, NAT west NAT chasing Wayne around would be a laugh 😂😂

I'm glad I race E46 bmws I'd hate to do all that pissing around with rear axles on those jags. Never forget doing a set of rear discs and pads on a series 3 Xj6 when I first started out in the motor trade......ball ache was an understatement

Fix that lift eh? The Hydraulics are bleeding past the valve, and it lifts several inches on the right side before the left. Tighten the cables. I can refer you to a hydraulics company in your area if you need help.... ;)

Seals in the ram are knackered that's why I got it cheap, it'll stay like that until it breaks! Chain has snapped twice too, hence the wonky elevation haha

Spinner/shutter or "divvy dag" bolts used for concrete shuttering. quick and easy to undo with a course thread so we don't chew it up when we crash like normal nut and bolt thread.

Not sure if you’ll be able to say, but do they use a standard map for all 2.3 or are they all set up individually to suit?

140bhp ish standard. built one will range from 170-195 ish. unrealistic to get more than 200bhp because you physically can't get any more air through the size of the carburetor.
