@@BadLuckGarage I put a summit ls swap 84-90 corvette 3 core rad in my 3rd gen camaro swap. I had to put a cooler thermostat in my 6.0 truck ls to get the temps where I wanted them. Otherwise it would run around 210.

That’s the only issue so far. I’m waiting to hear back from them. Since I plan to run a remote cooler anyway it’s really not a huge deal other than causing me to hold off even longer on the turbo build but for others who don’t plan to use a remote cooler it would be a bigger problem and it frustrates me because of that.

Are your twin electric fan aluminum radiators good for open track event cars that see multiple 20 minute sessions on road racing courses?

Do I need a third relay to use 1 thermoswitch for the 2 fans? Or I can put both relays of each fan together to use 1 thermoswich

Nice radiators, my only is with their fans , not enough flow for me , my flex o lite fans are 4200 cfm and I think the ones they have are 2200. I ordered just the radiator . I'll put the big fans on her when it shows up .

I agree and I’ve actually pointed that out in several videos over the last few years. This radiator has been great for over 3 years now. The fans have been adequate at best.

I'm an idiot and just learning cars still. What is the hole with a nipple on it under the top transmission cooler line and also what fitting should I use to plug all those holes? Thanks

How's it holding up? I bought a radiator from them for my nova back in 2020 and it's leaking from where the tubes are welded or brazed to the tanks. Just asking because obviously I need a new one but don't wanna be back in the same position 3 years from now. Only ran my car maybe 40 or 50 times and mostly short trips since I've installed it. Hoping this is just a fluke because their prices are great but if I buy another one for 300 bucks and it leaks I should have just bought one of the the $600+ rads off of summit or jegs

Radiator is great. Fans are barely adequate but get the job done. This car is now twin turbo and making just north of 900hp and while this setup is getting the job done, I feel like some fans with a little better airflow would definitely be beneficial.

How’s it holding up? Looking to buy one for my c10

Depends on how you wore the polarity. But being in the back of the radiator they’re obviously designed to pull.

What I want to know is, how well these radiators last. I'm looking to buy one for a 78 Ranchero. I want to make sure it will last.

@@curtisdoss2469 No problem brother. It should be noted as well that this car is now making north of 800hp and the only time it’s ever gotten hot is when it threw the belt. Lol.

Do you know the fitting size for the smaller inlet? I just got this rad and can’t find the size anywhere.

Website says it’s 1/2-20 thread, but I’m not having any luck either. I’ll cover whatever I figure out in the installation video.....IF I manage to find something. It’s not looking good right now though unfortunately.

@@BadLuckGarage I figured it out. The two cooler lines are 1/2-20. The smaller one is a 1/8 NPT. They didn’t have that one listed but I lucked out and had one in the garage.

@@thechunkyson I may have another issue then because that’s what my stock lines are supposed to be and they don’t work. I’ve also bought every size fitting I could find at auto parts store and none of these have fit either. I’ve now pulled the radiator back out of the car to take somewhere to have the correct fitting matched up.

@@thechunkyson I also don’t have any 1/8npt tapped holes anywhere on mine except for the overflow nipple. Although I’m most likely going to tap the heater core return line nipple for a 1/8npt plug to block it off.

@@BadLuckGarage that’s weird. Mine came in the same box as yours. They’re all made in China so who knows if they were actually made in they same place. These are the part numbers that fit mine GOS-231102 and FRA-484004-BL from Summit.

No clue, but these engines run between 210-220 in most factory applications so I’d say you’re doing great at 205.

@@milkhouse01ja Just for Reference, CC runs around 205-210 cruising around. When I’m making passes I try to get to the line as close to 200 as possible and usually end up at 210-215 at the ends of the run. Chinavette ran between 210-225 bone stock. My Avalanche runs around 210 bone stock, and the DR Nova is the coolest of the bunch running around 200-205. There’s really no benefit to running these LS engines super cold. I generally shoot for the 200-210 area. 👍

Only thing with it was that one fan was damaged from package handling fan works but when i push down on the wire, it will turn off so i gotta keep the wire at an angle. I had to order another relay from alloys website so the fans can run better. I was told two relays is better than one when your running two fans.

The radiators are pretty good. But one thing that must be said. The fans suck. 80-90 watts with like 6amp draw. You be lucky if you get 800CFM out of one of them. I installed the rad on my 5.3 heavily tuned and performance parts. The fans can’t keep up. When I contacted alloyworks. They told me each fan is rated at 1700cfm. It’s not anywhere near that…. I was overheating everytime I came to a stop light. In the 220-230s. Had to replace the fans with 180watt 15am. Units…. Actual 1750 CFM. Problem solved. So buyers beware…. And customer service sux as well… good luck y’all

I’ve actually talked about these fans in other videos over the last few years and I agree they aren’t the best. But the car we’ve had this setup in for the last 3 years is twin turbo 5.3 and making just over 900hp as shown in more recent videos and these fans are doing the job just fine. Car generally runs around 190-200. Sometimes creeps up to 205-210 in traffic. Would better fans cool it down faster? Absolutely, but the only time the car has ever ran hot with these fans is was when it tossed the belt at the track in a 5 second pass.(also shown in more recent videos). And this is in a 3rd gen Camaro which are notorious for having poor airflow to radiator and running hot.

Spal make a bloody beast 12" fan aswell 1564cfm fan @ 15.8amps. or if you want to go nuts there is a company called Derale that make a 12" 2000cfm 300w fan pushes 24.8 amps
