I was able to enter computer management but when I clicked on create it said access denied , why?

Thanks a lot, the only solution that really works (the second line), it's really annoying as all tutorials on the net speaks about first line, which of course won't open the program. Either the scheduled task method. Thanks again.

So i used the second command, but then he said i needed to enter the Admin password, which i dont have, so how can i do it then?!

This works however I was able to create a shortcut to cmd and apply the runas.exe syntax beforehand. Which allowed me to call on the saved admin credentials to open a System32 Command Prompt. From there I can open Services, registry as admin... is there a way to prevent this?

If we add to the local administrator group, it would be admin right? I have a normal profile which needs this. Also i know the admin password

What if you don't have the admin password in the first place? How can you get it?

If you don't have the admin password you cannot make this work. There is a reason why you don't have the access, chances are your system administrator or IT Admin has put precautions in to prevent programs from running without their knowledge and or permission.

Yeah, what I did was to install them onto an USB-stick using my home PC, then I just dragged the already installed game from my USB to the laptop

I have entered the password once but every time the program has to run it brings the password prompt

Hey Abby. Are you sure that you have created a user and added the user in the administrators group?

Thanks for the video! Does this work with programs that don't require Admin rights to run the program? Some games like Apex require Admin rights for the updates... I was hoping for a workaround. Thanks! :)

@@zinetek6007 I think I found another solution. Go to Computer Management > Local users and groups and under Groups I found this group called Power users (it has limited admin rights) and I added my Guest user under that group and now it can Run as Admin almost any program and bypass the need for admin rights if the selected program needs Admin rights for an update :) Never knew about this and not sure if this is only available in Windows 10 / 11 Pro.

@@zinetek6007 My understanding is that running a program as invoker only runs with the highest privileges available to the user attempting to run it, meaning that it would not work for a non-admin user

It's what I was looking for.

I made a batch file with start command for the exe and exit command at the end. And I start the batch file instead of the exe, the result is no CMD opened window left :)

This is not a hacking method to allow a standard user to overcome the security put in by system administrators. It's for admins who wants to allow exceptions for their users.

The password may not be visible in the screen, but it will be taken in consideration when you hit "Enter" ;)

@@zinetek6007 Important info, the password does work even if you can't see your typed characters, so people, enter your password on the cmd window and hit enter

You can't. you need admin password for that.

So basically you just saved a user password with admin privileges to credential manager, great, just great, useless as this is a security problem.

Technically yes, but can you imagine IT having to walk over to a dozen computers on a production floor each day just so they can open the application or program they use every single day?

Hey Mohammed, I must assume that you are talking about an office where you have office laptops or computers? If so there's some software that you can use to install this. I work in a clothing company where we use Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager. This is good if you are many people in the company. Otherwise you can purchase and setup Microsoft Intune. If you on the other hand don't want any of these programs that are designed to deploy updates and software programs to laptops, then you have to find the McAfee.msi file. Usually if you have an account where you've purchased McAfee, then you should also be able to find and install a .msi setup of this antivirus.

You have just to type the password once. Next time, the user does not have to type it again because it's saved in the credential manager

@@zinetek6007 Also the password is hidden in the credential manager. So if you work in a company where you don't want to give the users access to an administrator account, then I guess this is one way to use it.

@@zinetek6007 and now the user can just run any program/install with runas and the specified user as its saved in his profile. the point "you don't want to give user admin rights" is moot, you just did that. it is not bound to this single program. try it out with any other file and you will see.

@@skarpak9165 Do you have a solution that mitigates that problem or are you just complaining? If you have a solution I'm all ears. I have 3 programs I need users to be able to open every day without my admin password that require admin access to open. Right now I'm at a massive security risk as I have them logged into a local admin account(that I created) just so they can open the programs. If you have a solution where it would allow them to open it as a standard user instead of an admin, please link the video or instructions on how to do so.

There is no such option called local users...

You can only access this snap in in the pro or higher editions. To create accounts in home edition you can use either the settings app, or command prompt or powershell
