Bravo aux frères Naudet pour leur reportage incroyable. De simples reporters, ils sont devenus en l'espace de quelques minutes, reporters de guerre au péril de leur vie, avec des images qui vont faire le tour du monde. Je n'oublierais jamais cet extrait incroyable du regard du chef Pfeifer et de sa folle course pour échapper aux millions de tonnes d'acier et de béton qui cèdent et s'entremêlent dans un énorme fracas ... Dieu merci ce n'était pas au-dessus de sa tête mais à une centaine de mètres, la tour voisine. Des images terribles.

the most underrated American "hero". for all the awards and "thanks" given to soldiers, the REAL thanks, for their selfless courage, their heroism, and their EFFECTIVENESS, should go to FDNY, the firefighters, and especially to Pfeifer.

Joseph Pfeifer was the first of all first responders that day, and his gut told him everything he needed to know. I was just a mile or so north of there that morning, getting into work, and the rest of that morning was history. Pfeifer deserves an American knighthood, if such a thing existed. No kid ever wants to be a cop when he/she grows up; the kid always wants to be: the firefighter. :'(
