All of the guitarists that contributed to the Allman's had their own personal merit, IMHO the Warren and Derek years were top notch, I sorely missed Dickey, and loved Jack, I would've loved to see him with Warren or Derek or all three of them... and can NEVER forget Dangerous Dan! RIP Gregg you left a legacy that will never be forgotten!!!

This was the last of three shows the band played at Great Woods that summer. The first was in June and the second in August. I attended the June show, where Dickey exclaimed, “Three times, folks! Three times!” They we’re hugely popular in the Boston area in the 90s. Very fortunate to have seen many ABB shows from ‘92-‘05. The Jack Pearson shows were very underrated indeed.

Opinions are cool, but refusing to see them after any one of these tremendous talented guitarists either passed away or moved on from the band is idiotic... That's my opinion! Warren and Derek were together longer than any duo over the years. It showed, they meshed as well as any of them... Throw O in there as well, longest tenured bassist. I not saying this lineup was better than any other, they scorched a lot of stages in their time as well... Duane is the only one I never got too see live. LEGEND! I am sure he approved of all the greats that came after him in the band. They kept the music going, all had their own style & sound, all greats in my book....

Couldn’t agree more! Outside of the original ABB line up, this is my favorite. Such a terrible shame Jack’s tinnitus forced him to leave. On a couple of the closeups, you can see his earplugs that he tried to use. He and Dickie were soooo good together! ✌🏻

@@Craig_Fussell And it's too bad Dickey wouldn't turn it down and/or let the PA system put out some of his sound. Dickey's excess stage volume was a real sore point for several of the band members. It drove Jack out of the band and eventually contributed to Dickey's being kicked out of the band. Jack discusses his problem with Dickey's volume, very diplomatically, in a couple KZread interviews.

Yep. Poor ol' drunk ass Dickey Betts. Personally, I've never seen him when he wasn't on top of his game. Last time in '04. Yes he's gone downhill since then But he'll, he's old. So am I. There are folks that say that Butch was an integral part in getting him fired. Me, I don't know

I thought Dickey Betts only played Les Pauls. It's odd seeing him with strats the whole show....

@@stevenportela7506 Got it - Thanks. I actually enjoy 90's era Allman Brothers more than any other era. Lots of awesome songs from the 3 early 90's studio albums that they stopped playing after DB left the band. I wish they'd release more live material from those years.

Actually, Jack is playing a G&L, but yeah, it’s weird considering how strongly the band is associated with Gibson.

The sound really tired, sloppy and out of tune compared to just a few years earlier with Warren Haynes when they were on fire. Jack Pearson sucked! that guy did not fit the band at all, thank goodness they got Warren back soon after they realized that.

Disagree. Jack Pearson is one of the best I’ve ever heard. Whatever problems you have with this version of the band, the blame does not land on him.
