Allman Brothers Blues Band from the first day Duane and Dicky started training licks and the whole of the ABBB carried us beyond state lines and time signatures. they really were music for all the people. Blues Jazz Rock Jam and it was fantastic!

And even the classic, which this certainly is. This is the music I literally grey up on, and have never stopped loving it. I've played drums and sang backup/lead vocals in several (cover) bands and the feeling cannot be matched! Once you ever experience the (almost spiritual) connection to other band members, while playing at peak and just through the instruments, you never lose it....and kinda crave it. Shit's like a drug, lol! When Betts turned around and laughed towards the end of one of Billy's killer guitar improvisations, he was experiencing that high.... hell they all probably were. There's a recent KZread video of Billy playing two Grateful Dead songs live on stage, and it kicks ass. PS, I'd provide a link, but I'm an old fart (55)😆

You gotta be generous when you invite Billy to the stage...he's a force to be reckoned with. Give him room, trade solos, and be humble and gracious...cool thing is: Billy's pretty modest himself.

@@cteska I don’t believe in talent, it’s love for the music along with who their teachers were. Anyone who cuts their teeth on a guitar, sleeps, breathes music can also have “talent”.

They carry on the legacy of their fathers so well. It was so cool seeing Billy String jamming out with the band as well. What a barn burner of a performance!

First time I've seen Billy go electric. Outstanding doesn't even begin to describe how great this is.

as someone who saw the original Allman Brothers and went to many shows at the Beacon theater in the 90s and into the 2000s.this is great to see and hear...music transcends generations

Dickey always stood out man he always had style and he was such a great guitarist. He was such a gorgeous man.

All these years later, the last three minutes of the song sound like the last three minutes of 1970 Allmans live tracks. Real good stuff.

3 super humble players there who all grew up on Allman Bros! Love it. Devon giving those faces about Billy's playing during the jams is so wholesome. Shows how much respect all these guys have for each other.

Dual leads are always cool. But when the talent goes this deep it’s a thing of beauty

wonder if when the Allmam Brothers and the Gratefull Dead did those gigs so many yrs ago they could ever conceive a day like this ,, for those who don't no Billy Strings plays with Bill Kreutzmmann in a Dead side project called Billy and the Kids ,, truly amazing stuff

Their Red Rocks concert on KZread is truly awesome. Billy K also asked Billy S to put music to Robert Hunter's lyrics for "Thunder" which Is also on KZread with Billy S doing it with his bluegrass band. Also awesome.

He is a wonderful person. We were lucky enough to get to know him here on our local scene also in 2014. He played our wedding. And our reception. And within days he was off to literal (much deserved) fame and fortune. He overflows with THAT THING. You can't teach it and you certainly can't fake it. But when you know, you know.

He’s not really famous. Ask any one in Nashville or any where else who Billy is and 9/10 won’t have a clue. He is only known in the tiny tiny bluegrass world and the tiny irrelevant jam band scene. He is being ruined by Nashville handlers. It’s sad billy doesn’t know who he is and it’s sad to see him go down the path of heavy drugs. His electric playing is average at best and his vocals are a direct rip of of another fake southerner, Dan tamynski.

Saw these guys earlier this year in Montgomery. Helluva show! Props to the AB band for giving Billy the opportunity to showcase his skills.

RESPECT, they respect each other and know that together they make great music. I grew up in the radio business playing southern rock in the 70's, it's in safe hands today.

Amazing. Nearly brought me to tears.....

A humble guitarist is something you can't always find and it's sad to say that has brought a many of a great band down ! All of these guys are Genuine Humble Guitarist and of course look at who it is !

I saw the Allman Betts Band at the Tower Theatre in Bend, Oregon in 2018. Definitely one of the best live shows I've ever experienced. Wonderful music and showmanship from start to finish. Billy Strings fits right into that groove. What a treat to see them play together and be able to enjoy it online. Gawd I would love to see this gang in person!!!

There had not been anyone like Billy come around in a long time. He elevates anyone he accompanies.. When he was invited to be the new member of Billy and the Kids, he not only added to the already great sound.. he brought with him a NEW ROBERT HUNTER SONG “ Thunder”. The music business really needed Billy Strings to show up to play. He really made these guys sound better too..

So nice, the music lives on. Beautiful footage. Beauty of a day.
