the mixture price cannot be greater than individual price in alligations and mixture. you can't get a mixture of 64 per kg by mixing a mixture of 60 perkg and 50per kg

i have the same doubt. how is it possible? if we take 7kg of 60 rs rice and 2 kg of 50 rs rice it will become 520 rs for 9 kg that means 520/9 =57.78 per kg.then how 64 is going to come ? pls let me know if I'm going anywhere wrong

Hello, the problem (3:50) "In what ratio, the shopkeeper should mix the rice of Rs. 60 per kg in the rice of Rs. 50 per kg so that the amount of mixture become Rs. 64 per kg." is incoretly formed, because the final price cannot be bigger than the price of more expensive item. It must be between the prices of two items. That's why the ratio 7:2 is false. Probobly the final price must be 54 per kg, then the Ratio is 2:3.

No that's incorrect, it is showing the profit as well. What you think the mean price is going to be is Rs.55, but this shopkeeper is selling it at a profit of Rs.9, hence the greater price to the mean.
