Good for her. From nannying to the Olympics. Used to think of her as the other A. Wilson in US women's 800m. Now she's an Olympian.

The best part is, she hasn't changed a bit since growing up! She's always been a kind, genuine, friendly person, so deserving of the recognition!!

Wilson ran a decent race. She stayed on the inside and up front for the merge.

Mu was on the outside and she moved in across the other runners too quickly. It looks like a tactical error where she essentially caughty her trailing leg on a runner behind her as she crossed. I watched the video many times, and it is difficult to see exactly where & who Mu contacted with her rear leg, if anybody. Mu definitely made a very risky move to the inside, especially considering her exceptionally long stride on the trailing leg. She needs to giver herself a lot more margin becore cutting in.

Even with Mu no medal this year. She wasn't ready.

@@edwmacShe channeled the fire from her third place finish at Worlds last year into her Diamond League final win over Hodgkinson and Moraa in September. Maybe she'll do the same with this. She might need to race in groups more frequently to stay sharp though.

@@edwmac I agree that she wasn't ready. The lack of racing or practice will do that to you. I don't know what's been going on with her, but I swear there's been a decline in her progress after she moved to Los Angeles and switched to Bobby Kersee as a coach. She's gone from having three big wins (Olympics 2 golds/Eugene gold/, to getting 3rd in Budapest and now to failing to qualify for the Olympics because of a nasty fall. If we barely ever saw her before this, we probably won't be seeing her come back for 2028.

I wish she spoke in her natural voice. This is a learned way of speaking and it is awful. I don't think I will ever watch another interview with her. A fun movie that touches on this is call "In a World"

Also if she works with kids like I do, we have to talk in a whimsical, joyful, happy voice often to help children stay regulated and positive 🙏🏽❤️
