Annette's evolution from that unjustly criticized singer to who she's now is amazing. Allen is one of my favorite singers. Great combo

incredible. After Nightwish, everything Anette did, for me, is wonderful. Shine is a very good solo album, the Dark Element is fantastic, and this song is very catchy. Hope Anette don't drop from her music career, i'm a fan.

Dark Element was great..I like what Anette did in that album. Also I'm glad Allen has recovered from the traffic accident a couple of years ago..I was worried he couldn't continue his career.

It’s crazy how Tarja and Anette found separate ways and never gave up and they are both doing absolutely better than ever. I love Tarja and Anette dearly.

These works didn't utilize Anette's voice to the level Tuomas did in Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum. It sounds good just because Anette really works on her vocal skill and has a tremendous improvement. I'll say it will be much more impressive if Anette interpret Imaginaerum again with her voice now........ Frankly speaking, "Worlds Apart" and "The Dark Element" are only old stuffs with a new voice, that's the only reason it still sounds OK.

@@user-zd5ql7dq1o Agreed! I like The Dark Element very much, but it's quite basic stuff, nothing all too fancy. To me, 'Imaginaerum' is NWs best album from a songwriting perspective. And Anette's voice plays a huge role in this. I can't take all these 'this is 1000000x better than everything Nightwish released' seriously

@@DaniFilth87 Anette definitely deserve something way better than this ...uh... "basic example from textbook" to sing. Unfortunately her recent works are really boring... I found that some people used to criticize Anette's work during her Nightwish era as "too pop". However, these works might not be heavy, operatic, but the elements Tuomas experimentally added were really innovating things which rarely found during Tarja era. In this point of view, criticizing them as "pop" is totally nonsense. Another interesting is that exact same people will admire a song which is full of textbook-like structure as "rock" just because vocalist uses a lot of growl, screaming, or the guitarist turns his/her gain to maxima. I do believe these kind of works should be criticized as pop, and yes, I'm talking about Worlds Apart and The Dark Element.

Annet would not have this carrier,if Tuomas didn't choose get for Hightwish singer.... let's be honest!! I like her.... But what ever she is, it's because of nightwish.... No one of us knew Alison Avenue.

Magnus Karlsson is such a beast, I just don't know how he can come up with so many great songs/ideas year after year. His discography is out of this world. Melodic Heavy/Rock at his strongest! Ok I also love that duet with Allen and Olzon

Well, there is some repetitiveness in the melodies and song structures, but I'll take him over anyone else. Timo Tolkki handled the last Allen/Lande and it just wasn't as good.

Right? I was ecstatic when I heard that vocalists from two of my favorite bands (Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Nightwish) were doing a collaboration album together. The album is awesome too from beginning to end. I haven't skipped a single song when listening to it.

Prog King Sir Russell Allen is back!! Couldn't be happier with another collab from Allen/Magnus Karlsson! Anette is also doing some AMAZING work, her collab with Jani Liimatainen is absolutely MARVELOUS!

@Malcolm Reynolds she was exactly the right one for Nightwish at that time. Nightwish needed something different to break Tarja's shadow of the band and to me, was a perfect choice. It's only unfair that the man's on the band was such a bunch of morons. Nightwish it's just a shadow in those amazing vocalists (Tarja and Anette) life. Soon will be Floor's turn.

Because most people don't form their own taste in music, but allow Spotify and the record labels to shape it, by listening to their recommended playlists and artists, dictated by the big labels. Same with the radio, keeps playing the same music as long as the listeners' taste is shaped by the same people behind the artists, instead of showing new (independent) artists during airtime.

This very much has a Lacuna Coil vibe to it (like in the Comalies days). I love this song and with these two teamed up - how could I not love it!

Pretty much from the first note, you can tell that it's Magnus Karlsson again. His stylistic fingerprints are all over this one. And of course it's quite good as a result.
