Anche io ero curioso di sapere che cosa fosse una milonga, termine musicale conosciuto solo grazie a questa bella canzone di Conte. Ebbene, secondo la Treccani, la milonga è un tipo di canzone e danza popolare , accompagnata con la chitarra, diffusa in Brasile, per la precisione nelle regioni del Rio della Plata.

Hi Renato, thanks a lot for the translation!! Even if I'm not quite sure that I fully understand what Conte is saying (same goes, by the way, for the lyrics of "Max" which I found a translation of lately), I very much enjoy his poetry and humour in both music and words. He's a wonderful artist.

Curioso... como argentina porteña que ha vivido años en Brasil, he reconocido el ritmo del bolero, la figura del inmortal cubano Compay Segundo, y sigo buscando algo que se parezca a la milonga. La milonga es un ritmo y baile popular, compás vivo de dos por cuatro como el tango, y es rioplatense. No inventen.

Mi e' capitato di preparare un esame universitario (Giurisprudenza, of course),senza riuscire, per tutto il tempo, a togliermi dalla cabeza una canzone di Conte.Purtroppo non ricordo piu' quale canzone fosse. Damn...

Bravo, Paolo-- listen to this one the most-but being non-italian, I have no idea what he's singing about. Any translators out there?

Ci sono canzoni di Paolo che non si possono capire con l'intelletto,devi affidarti al tuo cuore e tutto sarà chiaro.Paolo è la chiave per aprire i sogni che sono rimasti racchiusi dentro di te e che altrimenti sarebbero rimasti li per sempre.
