Yes this will depend on where you live. United States we are still responsible for taxes and fees. I believe Europe and Australia may have the policy where a comped cruise has to be completely comped and not require taxes or fees be paid.

You don’t have to do anything. Simply tap or insert your Royal Caribbean card into a slot machine while on a Royal Caribbean cruise and it will automatically start your “membership” and track your points accumulated.

they give you casino credit for next cruise with an expiery date and with points can get some things not much though. you get points on your card telling you how many drinks you can have. have had trouble sometimes trying to get 2 drinks at once even having 20 drinks in points on £16000 we had 600 and 1500 free play on another cruise . Spending about £4000 we have had with royal caribbean offers of cruises all over the world in a balcony cabin we have had 3 so far and have a 14 nights medditeranean this august best with royal hope this helps.

Have already booked our 1st cruise with them but it sounds very much like we would be much better off swapping to Royal Caribbean for the next ones as we enjoy a gamble whilst on holiday 👍 but im not going to be wanting to give them action for hardly anything in return.
