All you need to know about Sansevieria Snake Plant

We did not ad advice on what type of soil to use. You can use any type of normal potting soil but it should be with good drainage so mix it with some leca (heated clay pebbles), pumice or perlite.
Cactus soil also works fine but needs to be able to hold a a little bit more water. Some cactus soils doesn’t so it can be a good idea to mix it with normal potting soil (50/50).

The Sansevieria has recently been included in the genus Dracaena on the basis of molecular phylogenetic studies. Since the most commonly used name still is Sansevieria that is the name we use in this video.
Thanks for watching! 🌱

You are doing a big favor to all the plants sitting in neglecting box stores. I love to buy sick plants and rescue them.
I just love these long, detailed videos about one plant genera. The amount of information and the way it's organised is perfect for me. These are my favourite on this channel ! Thank you so much for taking the time to make them ! I can't wait to see the next one ! (If you ever feel like doing one on the lovely Homalomena, money tree, or Raphidophora tetrasperma, that would be fantastic! ). Take care and thanks again for your awesome videos!!!! 💚💚💚🌱
By far the best Snake plant video I've seen on KZread, very informative.
Oh well that was very informative appreciate the video what I learned are the following : 1) when purchasing look for a green bright plant with thick cuticle, and no burn on its edges or black spots on it, which would indicate it have fungus. 2) do not immediately repot it let it in the nursery container for a while before switching. 3) water it when it is bone dry, otherwise it might have fungus or root rot. 4) place it in a place where it has indirect sunlight. direct sunlight might make its colour look faded 5) when cutting it cut it from the bottom at a soil level to avoid it not looking burned and unpleasant otherwise it's alright to cut it at whatever length. 6) give it a fertilizer 3 times a year any fertilizer works at its activate periods, mix it with water to dilute it. 7)wipe it buy using a fiber tiscue that is wet. 8) spray it with a pestsizer or green soap with water in case of a pest issue. generally water it less and it's good, It's an excellent choice for your bedroom as the plant is active taking out VOC. excellent in your house and can withstand darkness but prefer getting exposed to indirect sunlight.

These in depth videos about a specific plant species are so helpful! Thanks for making them
I inherited a sansevieria from a friend and watched it slowly die. I stopped watering it so much and it's coming back to life. Thanks for all your great videos.
My favorite house plant hands down! I believe their are 71 varieties, with more being created constantly. Sans come in so many beautiful forms and colors. The tall standing ones , the birds nest type, and the hedgehog type. I love these beautiful hardy plants so much!
it's great that you do not use the silly animation and the sound effects etc. the value of the videos are in the information you give! keep it up :)
Love it. It is indeed really easy to take care of. I have mine for a year now, and what I noticed is that the first 7-8 months it didn't grow at all, but now a year later, I have a beautiful mother plant with two babies beside her. They are stunning, growing really fast and it's interesting to watch. I have my plant on an east spot, with a lot of light daily, and some little sun in the morning hours. Watering twice a month, but before that, always inspect the medium. It is truely a stunning plant when you give it the right conditions and needs(altought it can survive anything, except too much water). I do recommend this beauty. It will make your home look more premium. :) Thanks for the video, good information well shared.
Very good presentation of the plant and comprehensive care advice. Actually the most comprehensive video I've seen, on KZread, about this plant. Thank you, please consider making a video about African violets.
Sansevieria is my personal hero among plants - when spidermites, thrips, fungus gnats were around on her neighbours, somehow she remained untouched. I find them to be the easiest houseplants ever - that´s why I like them so much. They look awesome no matter what :-)
The tall one to the left of the screen, it's really beautiful! I think these plants may adapt differently to different climates; they thrive outdoors in full West African sun and heat, people actually make fences with them😁

I'm so glad I found this guy, im a new plant lover and I've been searching for a informative channel on these beautiful plant so glad I found you!! Thank you for being so Precise
So interesting and honestly the one I bought indicated to make sure to leave soil moist at all times but believe me I'll be letting mine go "bone dry" before I give it more water. Yours all looked so healthy. Thanks again for taking the time to share all your secrets.
I’ve been so hesitant to buy the sanservierina/snake plant. Watching your presentation has taken all of my fears away. I get it, I feel confident. Thank you.
What a fantastic learning lesson on the "Snake Plant"! Thank you so much for such a knowledgeable talk. I really learned a lot.
Brilliant video, thank you, and greetings from the UK. I have three varieties of Sansevieria and was so pleased to hear that I am caring for mine correctly, especially on not watering until bone dry. Though, one brilliant tip I was given on soil for repotting snake plants was to use half African Violet soil mix with half Cactus/Succulent mix - My snake plants have loved it and have been growing like crazy since, sporting bright shiny leaves. Thank you again for your wonderfully insightful lessons.
