    Ooh la la! Yep it's the same expression that Yvonne used in her comment, though I had not seen the comments when I thought to use that expression. As I said to her, it seemed like an appropriate response to your beautiful gems (when you get through working your talent on them, that is). How good it is to find such a place and at that price very cool. All my life I wanted to get over to the Phoenix Opal Mines in Arizona and never made it. For many years there was a standard fee of fifty bucks a day or you could buy a bucket of whatever they fill it up with and take it with you, for twenty five bucks. Those days are gone and now they want somewhere around two hundred and fifty bucks a day. Whew! I'm still tempted, but not so much, if ya know what I mean. Looking forward to your finished gems, You Miner. : ) Hugs, pets and scratches, wherever appropriate.

    @@meMiner, I wish nobody would, then they couldn't charge that price. I don't get out in public much. Here's why .... A few years back The medical field informed me that I would be in a wheelchair or dead within five years if I didn't quit working and either lay down or stand, because of the damage to my spine the amalgam/mercury fillings I received as a child had done, cavities basically caused by moving from country to town and their use of fluoride in the drinking water. Then a real fiasco. Due to that mercury damage I removed all of my teeth, only to be told the acrylic base (as in fake nails acrylic) of the dentures that were too big and had already been made, that (I am extremely Allergic to and they knew ahead of time), is the Only base they use. I've never found anybody to make me dentures with a different base substance, but still hoping for some genius to figure it out. Thailand said they could make me a base of sterling silver. Any thoughts, Dear? Reaching out for answers. : ) After a year of talking on line with (doctors?) the mercury problem was addressed somewhat, but not the false nail acrylic denture base. I see this issue as a potential problem for everyone. Hey Thanks for taking a moment to read this. It helps me to interact and possibly receive some solutions. Don't know for sure why I chose to tell you, but perhaps there is a reason, eh? : ) Happy gem making!

  • @meMiner

    @meMiner

I have emailed and spoken with many professionals in the dental trade throughout the US and a few other countries and the base they all use is standard procedure. many people may be allergic to their denture base and don't realize the source of their symptoms.
