When we were kids, me and my two older brothers unlocked every character by simply doing the Vs matches. We played this game a ton.

Funny enough, Target Test Lv.2 to 5 are unlocked as soon as you complete Lv.5 with any character in classic mode on very hard or intense.

You can see how many unique trophies you have if you go into data and then scroll down to 'trophies (excluding duplicates)' and it'll tell you

Ness and captain falcon goes back to be unlockable characters since 64 but they were starter characters in melee

Brawl introduced me to a lot of games and characters I've never heard of.

Thank god you didnt put the warning screen! That scared me every time. Today me and my cousin were playing this game and i just got wolf but he got scared by the warning screen. I don't blame him!

Somehow I unlocked EVERYTHING without a walkthrough as a kid.

I know I'm a few years late but here's some advice, do The Subspace Emissary, its so much easier to get characters and its a fun campaign thing. Even the last three are way easier to do even if big Diddy Kong sucks.

Here is how i recomend to unlock all characters: Ness: 5 vs matches Marth: classic mode Luigi: classic mode (no continue) Falco: 100 man brawl (as long as you use DK) Capitan falcon: classic mode (normal difficulty, 12 minutes time limit, target test stages don't count) Lucario: every stage of target test (complete classic mode on normal and very hard difficulty) Snake: 15 vs matches (shadow moses island) R.O.B: 160 vs matches Ganondorf: classic mode (hard difficulty whit link or zelda, not sheik) Mr game and watch: if you have 30 characters then target test (30 characters) if you have less than 30 characters then 250 vs matches Sonic: classic mode (10 characters) Jiglypuff: events after subspace emesary Toon link: classic mode (after completing subspace emesary) Wolf: boss battle mode

TIP IF U ARE DOING THE VS MATCHES METHOD: Go to special brawl and use these settings, Stamina mode, flower cap and fast, then, put both players stamina on 1, so when you start the match the flower cap will KO you in 1 second with the fast match modifier, so you wont be playing 1 stock brawls and losing valuable time

I just got all characters by doing versus matches and then got the stages later from there.

for some reason, Big Blue was the last stage that I unlocked while playing this game

Image having a scratched disc that causes ice climbers to crash the game and having to do every vs match instead because it is too risky to do classic mode and not being able to complete subspace emissary

I unlocked all of these by playing a lot of versus matches years ago

Because giant diddy kong in subspace is terrible to fight

well math this time the easiest and FASTEST match ending method is to set a custom match with flower, high speed and your opponent on 1 hp you on more than 1 hp the match is over in like 1/4 of a second

The first time I did it I didn’t know about the map and it took me about 3 hours to complete The Great Maze

Sonic was a troll before I thought you had to beat classic mode on hard mode

Is it bad that I’ve gotten all of the characters the long way with my siblings and me playing hundreds of matches because that was our only wii game that was extremely fun at the time

Actually the trophy gallery DOES count only unique trophies and excludes doubles.

Oh so that's how you unlock Hanenbow

I made a grind map and grinded 💿 and stickers for like two hours and got 7 diffrent 💿 but got like 50

Now i know why i unlocked 3 characters when my frend came over

i dont have 50 hours in brawl but i have all charicters unlocked by Vmaches

I never knew these characters existed so... I had to do the versus match method for every character. Poor ten year old me.

Actually, vs matches are the fastest for unlocking characters because of the 1hp strat

I did for most Characters. Snake & Sonic Are,I believe,the only characters I unlocked not using normal Vs Matches. For Snake,I did Shadow Moses Island Vs Matches,and for Sonic,I Beat Classic Mode with 10 different characters.

Well the 1v1 matches was shut down in 2014 so

So I played over 1000 matches.... I still play.

bro i did the hard way and played 450 matches and it took me about a year

"not as insane as melee" * flashbacks to running my gamecube for 10 hours, staying up till 1 in the morning for mewtwo, hoping it doesn't explode
