I do love that the sauro species was completely accepted and treated as equals and equally human. The rest of the second empire alliance had to be aware that their star people cousins had become transportation, pack and work animals and food for the lizards. I admire the rest of future humanity deciding that you don't have to be genetically human to be human and treated with humanity. That genetics aren't the primary factor for being human

Talk to your bosses, you're clearly either not worth what they're paying you are or are meeting goals early enough to reduce your hours. Just go home. If the work is done then convince your boss that your pay should be based on results not time in the office.

By that reasoning, the star people were just one of what they evolved into, after they gained sentience. Like if the humans from earth expanded into the galaxy themselves with their better capabilities of war and destruction would they have any more of a chance assuming they had also reached the same tech level as the star people? Or were the Qu just simply too OP

Listening to these retellings, how the books featured musings on fictional civilisations spanning lengths of time that are a little beyond a person's comprehension, and then condensing it down into a few pages of descriptions, it gets me thinking of Douglas Adams's A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Posthumously, following a bulldozing, the surviving literature about human civilization is edited and condensed down to the entry, "mostly harmless".

Hey, nice to have it compiled! If you put time codes in the description for each species or section, it will put markers on the duration bar, which would be handy.

I’d like to imagine that an isolated group of hand flappers adopted a primitive custom of removing the membrane between their fingers upon adulthood or at birth, later going on to evolve civilization.

Not ragging on you, dude, I quite enjoyed this video, but the word you're looking for is Sapience. Sentience refers to awareness of your environment. We're pretty sure most bugs are sentient. Sapience is awareness of the self and the implication of higher intelligence, which we can't concretely attribute to any species besides ourselves. That said, research shows that odds are elephants, dolphins, and maybe even dogs have sapience to one degree or another. Keep up the awesome work!

Ok i want to ask, since the star people and the people of earth and mars are separate from the star people, what happened to earth and mars? Did the Qu attack them too?

The star people replaced the old humans on those planets. The old humans had become obsolete and were extinct by the time Qu attacked, there were only star people, and yes Qu attacked the whole galaxy

Curious how the Asteromorphs evolved to be similar in design and ideals as the Qu. Possible that after extinction of the Qu they themselves evolved further and became the Qu and history repeated?

I think there's a theory that the Qu are time travelling humans so yeah, I'd say that's possible.

That’s an incredible theory, I hadn’t even considered that. I mean with how crazy the Tomorrowverse already is, that theory isn’t too far off. I wonder what the alien author would have to say about it 🤔
