My favorite is when Reiner wakes up to save Porco. Amazing how even though he started out as "The bad guy" in that moment it feels like he's the hero coming to the rescue.

For that reason, there's nothing, no CGI, no visual effect that will ever beat Attack on Titan's transformations for me. That's why I wish so damn much that “IT”s (movie) director Andy Muschietti's Attack on Titan releases so we can see titans in real flesh and real materializing process with real-looking CGI in levels of Marvel movies. Nah. He also had to avoid killing Eren or Ymir, since their goal was recovering the missing Attack Titan/stealing the Founder. When they found out that Ymir was the one who stole Porco's Jaw Titan, they had all the more reason to take them both and beeline for Marley, especially with Zeke and Pieck there to help them out.

Seeing all these transformations years later, I still have to admit that I think Reiner's and Bertholdt's reveal is still the best transformation in the series. That scene was so iconic.. the soundtrack, the delivery, the realization.. it's incredible how they nonchalantly tell you who they are and you're still there just like wait what? wtf did Reiner just say..? The speech Reiner gave.. it just felt so authentic. He had definitely reached his limit. Mikasa slicing up characters you've grown so very fond of - to that intense Opera OST will forever be ingrained in my memories. I rewatched that scene over 20x the first time i saw it. Personally, that is probably a top 5 for me throughout all of anime.

I’ll never forget my absolute flabbergastedness when Eren is eaten back in season 1. I don’t read the manga, and the subject matter is different/dark enough that I thought they pulled a Guren Laggan on us. Such an incredible twist toward what would become a crazy plot.

It's spinal fluid from another titan shifter (the warhammer). The royal family had it bc they needed their titans to be strong so they added abilities as much as they could. Rod had that bottle in his bag ready for Historia, so she would get it later once she eats Eren (according to his plan), even so Historia took the bag to get the keys and went to release Eren, when Rod transformed the bag fled with the rest of them and the bottle ended up in the floor, Eren saw it and it got his attention bc of what its tag said, so he used it to break it hurting his lip so he could transform, drinking a little of the liquid in the process. To say it in an easier way, if a titan shifter drinks spinal fluid of another titan shifter, they will get its ability. That's how titans as the female, the armored, the attack or the beast have hardening even when that's not an ability of their titans. The hints were there in season 1 with the female, the answer was in this moment with Eren, then we saw Reiner and Zeke also had it and we kept seeing it later with for example Falco drinking Zeke's spinal fluid so getting bird characteristics in his jaw titan when animal characteristics are from the beast titan. This is something Falco and Gabi talked about with Annie, where she explained in detail her own case about this so they could get it and understand Falco's case.

No, this has never been a thing and shifters in general haven't needed it. The closest thing is the warhammer titan, who transforms pretty slow for the energy its large part of hardening needs, Eren took advantage of that and Lara couldn't do anything about it.

I will never forget the first time I watched this…what a time to be alive.

1:47 the feelings hit hard when Eren realised he made the wrong choice, and it killed everybody from one of the best trained squads. The sheer anger in his roar when he transforms is something marvelous to behold. That other time, when he is impaled between the buildings in the city, about to fight Annie, the fucking soundtrack makes your blood boil, as Erens rage meter skyrockets and he prepares to sacrafice his humanity, in order to save, humanity. Fucking perfect. Season 4 was truly something to behold, but some of these moments from the first three seasons are sooo fucking raw, and intense, and should never be forgotten.
