Yuta Okkotsu is one of the most HYPED characters in Jujutsu Kaisen despite not having any actual appearances in the anime. While watching season 1, I noticed this student was mentioned numerous times and it piqued my interest. This inspired me to create a compilation of all the times respect was put on this man's name.

He literally got Rank special rank curse sorcerer on his 1st day, of couse he is strong. Only 4 jujutsu sorcerer was given Special Rank, Gojo being one of it and him also. Spoiler tho: The Main Antagonist in Jujutsu 0 is also special rank Final special rank being the woman in Todo's flashback asking the same question he go asking around:what your type. She is also Todo's Mentor

Watching this after seeing Volume 0 in theaters, and *SPOILERS* seeing all the praise Yuta is getting makes me feel so happy for him, from how he started, being too scared to now being respected and even feared by other sorcerers.

@@anuragraut5101 First of all Rika was just a cursed abbreviation or spawn who was on yuta's command. Yuta himself is a sorcerer now and just like how yuji doesn't need sukuna's cursed energy the same way Yuta doesn't need rika's cursed energy.He has trained enough to be a powerful sorcerer himself. It is said that he has more cursed energy than gojo,but it gets extinguished quickly in contrast to gojo. Bonus points: 1)Yuta can sti call Rika for a short period of time to him. 2) Yuta has his own cursed technique called (mimicry)

Just watched the movie in theaters and fell in love with yuta, a character I didn’t even know existed during s1 (totally glossed over his existence based on these short snippets). Can’t wait until he joins the anime and reunites with his buds 😊

Yuta is the heart of jujutsu kaisen, cause of him we got a second protagonist Yuji, yuta was supposed to be the main character but still after watching the movie yuta is my fav now

Yeah, NGL I'm kinda surprised by it and didn't like it at first because he sounds like a crybaby which is perfect for the first half of the movie. Glad Yuta can sound badass too in the second half.

@@iceydicey77 Yuta first appears in jjk vol 0 manga which is the original one shot of jjk. And later on (spoilers) he appears near the end of the Shibuya arc and is currently one of the main characters in the current arc alongside Yuji

@@iceydicey77 Jjk Volume 0, it’s a prequel to the story of jjk that happens around a year earlier. He later comes back in a later arc (that will get covered in season 2) And now is one of the heads of the current arc along with megumi and yuji. If you have some time you can watch the movie which has 100% of the volume story and about 30% of expanding on the scenes. A great adaptation.
I can imagine the moment Todou asking Yuta his type of women and then Yuta just summons Rika and just : Yuta : Isn't she's just cute? 😊 Todou : ... Yuta : We're engaged 🥰 Todou : You're scary, Okkotsu...

I can’t believe all this mention about Yuta flew over my head so many times! During the movie I was worried about him either dying or being forgotten by the author! Glad I saw this video! And if any of you guys say spoilers about him not dying the video literally implies he’s still alive.

I genuinely NEVER noticed how much they mention Yuuta in S1 😮 But after seeing the movie, I completely understand the hype! I'm honestly just so freaking happy for that guy.. He rose up from the pits of despair and self loathing to a freaking _legend!_

After seeing 0, I can't believe i missed all the times Yuta was mentioned...hell, all the times he was shown in the anime. He really does feel like missing piece of Jujutsu lore now. Itadori technically isn't even the first main character, so it makes sense.

Just finished watching the movie and man it was good. I really liked Yuta’s character even tho we only saw him for almost 2 hours (I’m still indecisive if I like Yuta more then Yuji lol) but they did a really good job showing his character/power off. Tbh yuta is the main character of the show cause he got everything, a tragic back story and main character attitude(i won't mind him becoming main character in the next season or 2 main characters lol)
Just imagine that immense pain he had to bear that he ended up crafting such a powerful curse, proves how important rikka was to him

Well, I am here after reading an arc on okkotsu in manga. I will just say this guy is completely different from what he was in movie. This man is going to break everywhere when gets animated. My man hakari is one heck of a god too.
Everytime they mentioned yuta, i was like "just who is this yuta guy?!" until jjk 0 came out, i can't wait to see him in action
After reading everything thus far in the manga, it's no surprise everyone is like "fuck fighting this dude." Yuta handling business is just what you should expect.

To me it seems like he’s more respected in flashbacks and disrespected more in the movie. Which makes sense because he defeated another special grade sorcerer so that’s why he’s hyped up more now

This is one of the things I absolutely love about JJK. The world feels so alive with references to important characters and events we won't get to see for a while, but still feel important with how much they're referenced throughout the show, and it makes it that much more impactful when those characters and events are finally revealed. Such a fantastic show.

Yeah Gojo mentioned Yuta, Hakari, and Yuji as one day equalling him. Also, in his discussion with Gakuganji he was explaining how the classification of special grade won’t be the limit of students such as Yuta, Yuji, and Todo. Lastly, Gojo said that Megumi has just as much ability and potential as Yuji. So we have Yuta, Hakari, Todo, Yuji, and Megumi that are hyped up major by the self proclaimed (and so far proven) strongest sorcerer

@@niyn10 hakari is strong but nowhere near level of Yuta and Gojo...currently,Gojo and Yuta both are levels above anyone else...after that,megumi is the one with most potential to become the same levels as the previous two..then finally Hakari and Yuji and Todo (although Yuji also will surely become levels above in future)

Watching the whole series by chronological order gets me the chills when they mention yuta, damn he really is in a different level. Every time they mention yuta, it builds more hype.

After watching the movie, he's definitely a crazy hidden badass. He also had a nice dramatic presence too, considering Rika-chan.
I was intrigued of who he is actually when I watched first season. After 0 movie and manga those scenes hit different.
Damn never realized how much they hype him up before JJK0 like the Baba Yaga of the series, second only to Gojo. It’s funny because he’s the last thing you’d think of as OP in the movie until the final third of it.

as a sole anime watcher, i never noticed how much they talked abt yuta in season 1. now i’m rewatching the show after watching the movie and i’m starting to notice everything.
