This reminds me of my little brother. My parents were kinda supportive of my older brother and not very supportive of me and my little brother had to do almost everything on his own. They never noticed how he would hit himself in the face. I asked him about it and he said "well... I've been thinking about some things that are sad." He's five(I don't know where he learned that but I didn't hurt myself till I was 11 and even then I covered it up and never let anyone know, especially not him). So I did a puzzle with him and let him watch youtube because I know those things make him happy and while we did said puzzle I played this song and he loved it, he hits himself in the face less and whenever we play music he always asks for this song.

This was me for 5 years. My parents were too busy fighting instead of taking care of me. But on top of that my mother blamed me for their problems. That crumbled my confidence. And because she tells me this every other day I’ve been depressed for 3 years. My parents got divorced and my father met someone that Soo nice. She had a daughter named Haley . She’s the best sister I could have ever asked for. She’s helped me through the dark times in order for me to get my s**t together. But it turned out that she had just as many problems as me so together we helped each other out life hasn’t been the same since she’s help me out tremendously

"Beautiful scars on critical veins" That line to me is the most powerful. It speaks to so many people and is such a hard factor that needs to be spread around and shared more awareness for. This song has probably helped a lot of people as this song is not just a regular popular song, it has a strong message behind it.

When this song came out, I was depressed af, I even tried to kill ms a few times. I was 15, I was a kid and I felt so alone, specially because in my country this music was only for freaks, and everyone treated me like that. This song helped me so much in that time, because I realized that I wasn't alone, I was only in the dark. Now looking back, I can perfectly see my young me listening this song, working alone in the library of school, and... she is happy, she's not as sad as she think she is, and that makes me happy, cause now I know that I choose the right music, now I'm not in the dark anymore.

It's been 5 years. Whenever I have a rough day, I blast this song, and for some reason, it gives me this strong feeling of hope and makes me smile. I don't know why it feels so powerful

This got me through so much. Going through the struggles that I do as an older person, it’s songs like this that I remember the kids in the dark, and that I’m not alone through what I go through, because everyone hurts. You come here to cry, but you’re not alone in your pain

This is my first All Time Low song that I've heard. Two things 1: how have I never heard them before?! They're awesome. 2: i need to do that whole glowy splatter paint thing.

This song is my anthem. Any time I'm depressed or anxious or suicidal or anything, I listen to this song and it has gotten me through so much. I love you guys so much 💖💖💖

When I was younger I always wished this was a thing and I would get a letter and be able to meet people who actually understood me 😭

i got fucking choked up. im gonna tell you something, this song has got me to NOT commit suicide. ALL TIME FUCKING LOW saves my life all the time. i know i swear a lot, but these guys are my heroes. i want to meet them so bad. it's my dream. i would honestly give anything to even be able to see them in concert. i have been a die hard fan for a few years and i love them. i went through 5 mental hospitalizations, all of my high school experience where i was called the "suicidal slut" years of bulima, and bipolar disorders. All Time Low's music got me through it. if i got to meet them, i would just want to say thank you and have a hug from them. Those boys mean more to me than anything, and Kids In The Dark is my theme song as i go into college, and getting my gallbladder out. i have been almost 1 year of cutting free on May 21st and All Time Low helped me get through it. i just wanted to say thank you, Hopeless Records for producing them and allowing them to make music that speaks to me. and of course, thank you to All Time Low for making songs like this. i dont know if this will be read but i wanted to write it in case it would be.

This song makes so much more sense now. At their concert I didn't feel alone anymore. I felt surrounded by people who love the same things. We all supported each other and it felt like one massive family. I don't get that feeling anywhere else than being in the crowd with these amazing people.

I used to listen to these guys in high school. Hell, the party scene was practically my freshman years' anthem. I hadn't listened to them in such a long time, but a friend shared this in Facebook and I just had to watch it. Listening to it immediately brought tears to my eyes. I don't know what it is about these four boys from Baltimore, but they'll always hold a special place in my heart.

This reminds me of a Tumblr post that said something along the lines of "All Time Low is one of those bands that, even if you stop listening to them, they stay in your heart forever." Mind you, as someone who's kind of a little bit obsessed (I have a tattoo of their lyrics), I don't understand why anyone would stop listening to them but hey, to each their own. People must have their reasons, I guess. Anyway, they've come a long way since you were listening to them and I'm so proud of them. Sold out Wembley Arena in, like, under 2 weeks. :) I love these idiots.

***** I have been a fan of All Time Low since 2007 when I was a freshman in high school. They have always in my top 3 artists at any given time (frequently at #1), but I go through different phases of what genre I like at any given time. It's always changing and going back and forth for me, from country to pop to hard rock to punk rock to hip-hop, etc. I listen to so many different genres. However, I can always listen to All Time Low. There may be times when I don't listen to them for a few months, even a year at point or two, but they will always be one of my favorites. There is no other band I can say this about. It's been 8 years and while they may not always be the band at the top of my list they will always be on my list.

lleasure29 That's awesome. :) I've been a fan for nearly 3 years and for me, personally, they've been #1 ever since I first listened to them really. But that's just me. I kind of fell into the best downward spiral ever haha. They literally have the most dedicated fans ever imo. Most of us stick around and that's awesome. I'll never stop supporting them. I can say that wholeheartedly as they've done so much for me and their music is always so great. I'm so grateful for this band.

***** They do have awesome fans, of course with the exception of a couple that need to learn some boundaries (every band seems to have 2 or 3 with boundary problems). Not many bands make it to 6 albums and I hope they make 6 more after this.

I wouldn't really say it's a lot "heavier", because Alex doesn't scream, but Kellin does. I do get your point though, and go go go is kinda more pop-ish, but when it comes to Fly, I think it was meant to be kind of a "calm" song :) Love both of these bands!

coming back to this song after years of not hearing it has me feeling all types of ways. this was my anthem for so long but i drifted. the first second 10 seconds of the song flooded my mind with memories of myself crying to this song. the 3 minute duration was complete deja vue of how i used to feel. my goodness i was so lost

Dirty Work grew on me over time but it's still my least favorite. I DESPISED it when it came out. And I don't despise anything from ATL. I have them tatted on me. I CAN'T despise anything from ATL. But Dirty Work, man. But I liked Stick, and Stones, and Techno! Lmao.

I love Dirty Work. It just lifted me up and made me really happy. However, I still don't like 'that girl' and 'I feel like dancin' very much.

I remember listening to this song for the first time. Associated it with Gravity Falls at the time. Man, it's been 8 years already? I'm not even a kid anymore, but it still hits.

I wish I found my group of kids in the dark when I was a kid Damn that would’ve made kid me so much happier ;-;

This is one of the best songs I have heard, it's a fun song that's says you are not alone in this world.
