First of all, thank you for the great feedback! As a matter of fact, the song is a completely digital production. This means there were days spent on digital audio workstations, sound engineering, final mastering, and so on with the aim of still getting the emotions and feelings across, so we are happy that we could indeed translate these emotions into the song. However, to answer your question on who "sings" this directly, the most precise answer would be "a state-of-the-art AI".

This may be a bit long, so I apologize in advance. 😁 I didn't realize your "singers" were ai until I read another comment, so huge congrats. You did wonderfully with them. Especially on some of the words the female singer sang, curving the notes like she did. I have no idea if you plan on using these voices for other songs, but they have great audio chemistry together. Now I have tinkered with ai programs, so I know getting a polished product isn't easy, but did you write the song for them or use ai? Or use ai and fix some of the invariably messed up or repetitive lyrics? 😂 I admittedly have my gripes with ai, but it would be cool if more ai things incorporated some aspect of human creativity, along with someone's awesome programming skills. 😊 Cause this is a really cool song, and it would be awesome if these lyrics came from someone's mind. And even if its fully ai, this is a really nice song. Love uplifting, magic-themed, symphonic metal. 😊

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! Seriously, there's nothing to apologize for-I love that you took the time to share your view and the great feedback. I think you've hit the nail on the head (or at least my thesis on this music project): People aren't necessarily tired of AI-supported techniques; they're just fed up with low-effort content that lacks heart and is produced on mass right now. My approach is very AI-supported from start to finish, but the piece is made with care, (human) intention, and a lot of time... :). For example, when it comes to writing lyrics, I use AI tools like ChatGPT as a collaborative partner. It's like having a co-writer who can offer a second opinion or suggest a better rhyme when I'm stuck. Someone you can go back and forth with to discuss a deeper meaning of a line or verse, or just get the chorus a little bit more catchy. This collaboration helps me refine and perfect the lyrics to ensure they resonate emotionally (with me). The music production follows a similar path. While AI plays a significant role in generating the initial song, I then separate it into stems, perform restoration work, add synths, reduce clipping etc., and re-mix/master the final product. In the end, the music retains (or, should I say, regains?) a human touch and soul, something that AI alone can't achieve. thank you! This is a completely digital production, so there are no band members in the classical sense. Instead, the song makes use of synthesizers, AI, and various sound engineering resp. mastering techniques. I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you for your comment! I understand and that is totally fine; music is as diverse as the people listening to it. Let me share a short story: 15-20 years ago, when I was listening a lot to trance music (especially Dutch trance), the "this is not real music" argument was everywhere in my friends circles because it was completely based on synths. So I understand that argument because I know it really well. However, I still think that for example Tiesto and Armin van Buuren created great trance anthems back in the day and in a similar fashion, for me, it is a lot of fun to try this digital way of metal production :) In any case: Thanks for giving my music a chance!

Thank you so much for your feedback! Mixing is indeed one of the big challenges when working with AI-based production. After releasing the KZread version, I did a re-master for Spotify (etc) that was released on the Ascend album and reduced some artifacts and clipping. However, when the generated material is very "challenging," it's tough to yield magic (pun intended) in the mixing and mastering process. Your support means a lot, and I'm constantly working on improving the quality!

Thank you for your kind words and support! :) It's perfectly fine to have different perspectives on music. Just as the original synth-based music faced criticism, this kind of synth and AI-driven music has to face similar challenges. And that's totally okay - music is very personal, and people like different things. It's all about expression and emotional connection, and whatever gives a person that - that's the fitting music for them. Anyway, I'm super happy that you're enjoying my song and I'm glad my music resonates with you!
