I'm glad she got to ride at 94 yrs old. She loved horses her whole life ❤, they were probably some of her happiest times, just her and her horse without all the fuss.

I love the Queen's dedication to horses... Particularly her saving the Cleveland Bay as a breed by purchasing Mulgrave Supreme and stopping him from going to North America. The Royals who were all involved with horses in whatever sport - be it Polo, Carriage Driving, Eventing, Dressage, Showjumping etc is all hard work and much much time spent in the stables and on their backs/in the seat etc... Any of the Equestrian sports are one that women and men compete equally, that if your mount is having a bad day and doesnt want to cooperate - well - you are slightly buggered if you cant gently con them into cooperating.

Sadly she is now gone from us. I don’t suppose Charles will be getting up in the middle of the night if a horse is having a foal, Princess Anne would though.

I think Anna and zara should take the queen horses to Anna zara stable the queen would be upset if they were sold

I’ve seen lots of pics of Queen riding, nevertheless being shot at whilst riding sidesaddle must have taken some staying on & also calming down startled horse.

Having lots of money helps with the sport

Not ponies. They are usually thoroughbreds around 15.2

3 day eventing is cruel.

a lame documentary that doesn't contain some of the most famous footage of the Queen and incidents with her horses but instead they describe what happened. Also it would be nice that when the Queen is filmed speaking, they actually show us what she said.

Polo is a dreadful sport. It wrecks the tendons in polo pony legs.

I haven't seen any footage indicating that she can actually ride. She couldn't when she was 18 in the propaganda newsreel. She looked like a clumsy beginner compared to her younger sister. Is it all hype?

One does not have to ride well to enjoy it (it helps but is not required). The Queen loved her horses from the ground as well.

She was perfectly competent, if not necessarily Olympic class. A bit like all the “ horse lovers” who comment on KZread, but have never mucked out a horse stall in their lives….

Watching the Queens funeral.. every horse is tossing their head repeatedly! Taking turns, in unison, two by two, either way this has been going on for 15 mins straight! Can't help but thing it's something they're all wearing since they're ALL DOING IT!! Okay, so they're back on tv, & I'm noticing this group is a group of 24? They're hard to count with the heads flailing & 2 of them are also trying to spin around. I've got to add .. now I know why Harry & Megan split. There's only ONE BLACK MAN I CAN SEE (NEXT TO THE QUEENS HURST) IN ALLLLLL OF THIS PARADE!! HOW?!!!!
