There's something running in Thai blood, IDK if others people are like this as well. Thais have like the inner berserker urge, it's not angry or rage, when adrenaline are rushing we seems to ignore all the pain and just fight with our instinct but for some reason it goes really well with muay thai. Every Thai has this btw. That's why you see them ignore the defense.

What's interesting for me is that Muay Thai fighters competing in One Championship tends to favor punches rather than the high scoring kicks in traditional Muay Thai matches in Thailand. I wonder why that is. Is it a scoring thing?

this fights are top fight but commercial and spectacle a lot of the rules have been adapted just observe how there is almost no clinching allowed and throwing is exceptional, and those gloves change climate because you cannot protect your face head behind the boxing gloves like in the classic rules just watch Thai fight Kard Chueck with the traditional ropes around the forearm and fists these fight rarely reach the judges card
